I just hope that HTC Desire will no longer have the limitation of phone-only apps and the restriction of keeping contacts / calendar data on the phone rather than SD card. My phone runs out of memory even without any apps on the phone (just having a lot of phone-only storage for my contacts maxed it out).

TechSavvyJaz, 10 Jul 2011Cool Kingdom?? RCMIX?? which ROM are you using now??not sure about the other guys, but i used ReflexS from neophyte to upgrade my desire to 2.3.3 with sense 3.0, and i love it.
i was running a desire HD rom before this (RCMixHD), with i guess sense 2.1?
The ReflexS rom 2.1.7 is waaaaay smoother than the rcmixhd i was using, so im glad i didnt go the RCMixS. Reflex also seems to have more room for apps. the app2sd function seems to be work better , as i restored all my apps from the old ROM, but have more internal room now (90mb as opposed to 10!)
i dont get any lag, and all the apps work perfectly.
GB + sense 3.0 + an official swype install from their beta program, and its now my perfect desire!

XEN, 10 Jul 2011I hate hTC lies. That's enough. Never again will not be t... moreare you crazy??? just tell me witch smartphone manufacturer did 2 major software updates other than HTC .. NONE ... desire was made for eclair(2.1) and then we got 2.2 witch worked even beter , now we have 2.3 witch wasn't even in plan when phone was relesed. manufactures don't relese updates nowdays so you buy new models and get more money that's the reason

I dont really care about this update, i find froyo works fine. I am just waiting for Android 4.0 icecream, there will be no more fragmentation, every phone will be running the the same os model and we will all receive updates over the air.

You won't get sense 3 with this update, but you can install it when you root your phone thru ROM ... I have tryed this and i am not satisfied with how it works on my desire ... It is verry slow and laggy and it get's worse after some time.
