Having just had the wind blow me over, causing my Note8 to fly out of my hand and land screen down on the concrete ground shattering the screen, it is time for some innovation on the screen and case design (Motorola's solution is fine, but the screen scratches easily, even if it doesn't shatter). Either way, this S9 looks like a slight iteration from the S8, so not really going to make people jump for it. They need to get the folding phone out!

I really don't like it that the dual camera setup is only on the s9+. Why can a phone not just be normal sized and have all the features. I was really hoping Samsung wouldn't go this direction just like Apple, Huawei and so on.

I guess this going to be the first year i will be skipping an upgrade, maybe because i grew older, maybe i m too picky, but HTC is unlikely to fix their bezels, Sony are unlikely to use Oled and a proper battery capacity, LG will always find a way to compromise reliability and Samsung is likely to have a miss year. Qualcomm will hold no significant improvement. I have the S8+,i adore it for it's battery and night camera shots, the S9+ will prolly compromise battery capacity to make room for the extra camera, only to imitate Apple, for all the wrong reasons... Samsung can be so pathetic at times, i guess the next note will be called Note X...

S9/S9+ looks like a step back to me. The phones are bigger and they kept the fragile glass sandwich design. I can't think of anything to make me want to upgrade to it.

These leaks are accurate.
The S9 will have a single camera, and a rear fingerprint reader.
The S9+ will have dual cameras, and a rear fingerprint reader.
Both phones will be exclusive to have QSD 845 and the Exynos 9810 processor, until April-June when other vendors will get supply.
In-Display fingerprint scanners will come to Oppo, OnePlus, Xiaomi, and Vivo phones in the first half of 2018. Other OEMs such as LG, HTC, Sony, and Moto are expected to follow suit afterwards. Samsung will adopt it in late 2018 with the Samsung Galaxy Note9. There's no word if Apple will adopt it, if they do, it will be in late 2019 to distance itself from the (somewhat failed) launch of FaceID.

whilst i have never been keen on Samsung phones, i do like the single camera module.
Something about it, like the Pixel that just seems nice and does a great job.

So if the S9+ is 1.8mm shorter, but they have cut the top/bottom bezels by only 0.1mm top and bottom, that must mean that they are using an even taller aspect screen, like what they supply for the iPhone X?
That just pushes me further and further from Samsung... I only hope others don't follow, or worse, samsung stop supplying 'shorter' aspect amoleds to other suppliers eventually. 18:9 is bad enough, anything taller is just terrible.

the fingerprint sensor is (again) too close to the camera.
If its true, I will definitely won't buy the S9
