there is only 1 compact phone here.. that's the 1 with a smaller screen then 5". So most phones are in the wrong segment (thisis based on the criteria that GSMarena used in the past). Since when is a samsung galaxy S8 in the same catagory as a Sony compact? If the screens grew in the compact catagory, why not put a 5.2"sony device in here? I think GSMarena just made a big mistake here....

Compact phones are < 5 inches. Only the Sony Z1 Compact and iPhone 8 qualify.

What is the standard size of a compact phone anyway? You, all, are just making your own measurement of a compact phone.

AnonD-234961, 17 Dec 2017LG G6 or Galaxy S8 are "compact" ? What are you guys smoking ?Compact because of the new aspect ratio that makes smartphones smaller because of more screen, that's what they are thinking

What a joke! Despite having less bezels s8 and g6 are bigger(taller) than s7 edge, yes the edge one NOT the flat one.

None of them. I will use LG V20 forever, because there will never be any new phone designed with common sense (removable battery, no curved screen, no glass body, useful bezels, 16:9 screen ...). And the Snapdragon 820 in V20 is not much behind than Snapdragon 835 in single core performance. V20 is capable to run everything (even the PPSSPP emulator at full speed when configured properly). So it's future proof.
