I appreciate that it is symmetrical, has no ugly notch and yet will have a STB ratio > 83% which is more than that of iPhone X.....

Anonymous, 19 Dec 2017Same tired design (all the while others went full bezeless ... moreYou do realise that this phone is about the size of a conventional 5" phone (actually slightly narrower and slightly taller), so complaining about a phone of that size "only" having a 3,200 mAh battery is just silly: it's the volume of the phone that determines the amount of electrolyte you can fit in it, not the screen diagonal (which means different things for different aspect ratios).
I'm not a great fan of Samsung, but criticisms should have some basis in fact and reason.

This leak should be hundred percent correct, in beijing haidian district they tests the glass front panel everytime for flagships, and it's written there in chinese samsung s9 and s9+, can not be fake. Yet no change from samsung, goes like s6 + s7= same design little bit curved, s8+s9 same design, may be s10 or X will bring the new design, so wait for 2019... :P :P

I'd prefer Older setup of S7 & S7 Edge or before, curved and non curved screens. Because now everyone are forced to choose the edge version, that's the main reason for the downfall of S8 & S8+ sales. Because edge design is more fragile and not everyone prefers to have it.
Further, removing the secondary camera of S9 is stupid idea. Most of mid-range or even low end current phones sports dual camera setup (Huawei, Xioami etc...), But sammy is omitting for the flagship of 2018, and this gonna be an utter failure.

Same tired design (all the while others went full bezeless already), same bad biometrics, same low battery (beefier, but low again, being beat handily on screen on times).
Sammsung has dropped the ball pretty majorly lately. From hero (first in almost every technical achievement in smartphones) to zero (trails ~2 generations in most categories from the technology leader of said category) in just 3-4 years.
Their momentum sustains them still, but if they keep dropping those ...goose eggs, in a decade or so we will wander "Samsung who?"

Ugly as S8 samsung should work on some other design and do not copy S8 also they shouldnt make curved screens. Its a bad move thy should work on batteries or anything else.
Curved screen looking really bad. It cant fit its slippery and resistant to a screen protector.
Curved screen is one big no.
Samsung stop finaly.

Last time I saw data about sales the difference between S7 Edge and S7 was about 2,5 million units.
Not enough to give up.
Price to replace dual edge is higher than flat, much higher. Costumer service makes more money.
In my country , to replace S7 Edge screen was expensive..

The angle is not good enough to tell for sure but upper bezel looks a bit bigger than lower bezel.
The dual edge looks more agressive, like S6 Edge Plus.
S7 Edge a bit different, same for s8
