19 December 2017
Specifically, users say the adapter doesn't work as the sound comes from the phone's speakers instead of headphones.

Lol, the adapter must be rubbish or have high failure rate. Proper adapter should be able to communicate with phone usb controller.

Imperator Neubaticus, 19 Dec 2017Quality control. Perhaps google and lg can learn from samsu... moreAfter seeing the G6 and V30, I think that it is safe to say that their QC improved a LOT. Google f**ked up. And this one seems to be more of a software problem.

Imperator Neubaticus, 19 Dec 2017Quality control. Perhaps google and lg can learn from samsu... moreWhy should Google do better qc? All the tech bloggers keep raving about the Pixel 2 despite the horrible problems and their expensive prices.

Heck, Google doesn't even do proper qc on their own software. :D

AnonD-643743, 19 Dec 2017Should've just sticked with the 3.5mm audio jack. Hehehe That would have made too much sense.

Wow, people just love paying $$$ to be fooled by Google. :D

                That's not a software bug. It's a premium feature.

Quality control. Perhaps google and lg can learn from samsung on this point. They certainly had a hell of a quality control disaster last year.

Guys, my $100 phone has not given me any troubles.

This Pixel's full form is basically "Problem In eXceELence".
You try making a good thing, and problems happen. This time however, I guess too many problems.
They should have a money back scheme for disgruntled owners. Best choice. Whoever wants can keep them.

These pixel gadgets really resemble all those cheap generic no-brand disposable phones you can get at any sidewalk in a 2nd hand barter flea market for a few dollars, more troubles than benefits

One would think that the Pixel 3 duo will be a whole lot better then the Pixel 2 duo, given the onslaught of problems occurring with this year's phones.
