They said for this year. But this year going to end. And note series always come in January. So may be note series will come 2018(next year not this year). Lol..nice game Xiaomi.

Lol, it is redmi note 5. They can change whatever the name in certain market. In Indonesia, they call those redmi Y as redmi note 5a so most certainly they will call this note 5 later on

If xiaomi wanted this to be note 4 successor, couldn't they have chosen type c and snapdragon 630 at least? Sheesh.... I think I'll consider other brands from now on

they know afew people going to buy THIS TWO REDMI 5
so they spent alot of money for advertising
but with alot of advertising, still people waiting for RN5
& now they decide to release this news ad unofficial
where is that people of xiaomi, coming to here & put comment & say: REDMI NOTE SERIES are about bread & butter for xiaomi in india & xiaomi will never replace or cancel this series with anything else
they keep silent
because they want to have a good sale for this two REDMI5

Im waiting this new launch from six months. But still there is not confirmation from mi official. Here on a post they are saying that Redmi note 5 is coming in next month. As per weibo which is a china trusted site. Do u have any confirmation about it ? And also tell me what will be battery capacity in this redmi 5 plus ?

I dont think this news is true.i think they try to sell this by saying(not officially) there will be no Note and , the ones who are waiting for note 5 will buy this. (its something like the oneplus did with 5 and the 5T. They said there will be no 5T bcoz if they told there will be a 5T , and the sales of the 5 will drop )
and if this is True, i cant imagine how dumb the company is bcoz they are killing their top selling mobile phone line.
I would say the end of Xiaomi Starts right now :( (if the news true)

Who cares about the chipsets? When you have 8 cores you can do whatever you want. If you have 3 Gigs of RAM you can do whatever you want. 4 is better, because in 6 months 3 won't be enough. The most important is the design and the price. Xiaomi offers great value for money. Unfortunately I care about the form factor. That's why I am dissapointed. If you want huge phone you can buy tons of 5.5, 6 and more inches. There are tons of tablets, TV's. If you are dissapointed there won't be Redmi Note 5, buy 42 inch smart TV.
But if you want to buy a small device, the best you can do is to find second hand Mi 2.

I believe Xiaomi will continue to make phone with SD625 in 2018 because they has bought it in zillions. I wish this SD625 never been existed. After the departure of Hugo Barra, Xiaomi is moving backward.

doubt name would make a difference in this dynamic market... following the trend of plus is good.... but issue is processor and spec. horrible of xiaomi to release fone with old processors ... old hardware.... this is bigger let down... better CPU GPU cameras at reasonable prices was expected....

This rumor is baseless Note series launch every year in January so wait more for 1 month
but if Xiaomi really doing this so huawei take xiaomi's place...
Huawei already launched many mid range devices like (mate 10 lite, honor 7x, p9 lite mini, nota 2s, Enjoy 7s)
