My daughter had a two years ol... morelucky you. I am speaking from personal experience with burning of amoled. I like this screen, but this could be issue in the future, if you are using backlight on max. If you are not really using phone as power user (mean more than calling and texting), then all is good. But with heavy usage, it could start it and there is tons of evidence on internet as well.
Just go to any retail store, where is Samsung placed on pillar with screen always on and you will see, how burn screen looks like.

I did handle a Galaxy Note 8 at a mall and even for my big hands, this phone was a bit too large to be used one handedly. And I'm not talking about width, I could easily reach the left end with my right thumb.
I'm talking about how tall it was. It was not possible to reach each end of the display with one hand. It was way too tall for me to use normally in one hand.

My daughter had a two years old Galaxy S6 without any burn at the screen.
My wife have HTC A9, also with AMOLED and also 2 years old without any problems.
My old Nokia 1020 is with AMOLED and it is freaking 4 years old without any burn at the screen. Last I do not use since 2 years, but is still in perfect condition.
Stop this $hit about burned screen.
That was excuse from Apple long time ago not to use AMOLED in their phones.

People are dumb.They can't afford a sammy or a Sony and instead of waiting for the prices to go down or to buy an older flagship they buy one of those cheap spying replikas. Then they realize what a terrible mistake they did and try as hard as they can to make others buy that brand too so they're not the only ones with garbage quality phones.
Use your brain people. Just because you see an add on tv, doesn't mean that is a good brand. That's the goal of marketing. To make you buy products that aren't doing good in sales. Duuuhh..
Marketing only shows us how weak and susceptible is the human mind to constant bombardment of adds. They buy products only because they saw an add on tv. ROFL!

What I must admit, in iPhone 8, the feedback from touch button is impressive. I was so confused, that it is not physical button, but feel like that. That is way to go and also, with this kind of design it will be again little different from others phone. Samsung was always characteristic by that button.

Also it might be that they do not have experience with another brands and think that what they have is the beeeaaast!
My opinion is, that S8 is nice, but AMOLED display could be problem in the future as I saw few of them with burned screen, also my Galaxy Note has also marks of burning screen, also Ace 4 looks like it is beginning to burn down as well.
On other hand, Xiaomi and their IPS (I have Note 3 and Redmi 5A), is really good screen and almost same quality as AMOLED (except blackness and angles, but this is an freaking phone!).
So here you have it.
