I know it's about net... moreFIH bought feature phone business from Microsoft mobile division(ex nokia) and done deal with HMD, for manufacturing all Nokia's phones, HMD bought what was left of Microsoft mobile(ex Nokia) minus feature phone business. And yes you right, it was formed by some ex Nokia mobile division employees, my bad. So for finalization HMD is completely separate companies from Nokia founded by ex Nokia employees together in deal with Foxconn subsidiary company FIH designs, developes and manufacture all Nokia phones by licensing Nokia name. Also old Nokia gets royalties and some patent payments from HMD but does not have any involment in developing in any way, any Nokia phones

Foxconn is.
and more on it that FIH a subsidiary of Foxconn is involved in this deal.

Nokia licensed their name to foxconn few years back so they manufactured Nokia tablet. Old Nokia mobile division was developing, designing and manufacturing by themselfs. Apple designs, developes by themselfs too, only last bid manufacturing is done by foxconn, capish??

Even Huawei and Sony have better versions of Android better than that so called 'pure' android.
Pure android is plain buggy half cooked Android.

It should give Nokia enough income to sustain their business until they find their feet.

nokia and hmd are two different companys with different business
this is about nokia so all of the phone comments are stupid nokia is just selling their name to hmd same way like it did with foxconn few years ago to make a tablet with nokia name on it

HMD Global Oy is a Finnish Company.
Fun fact the headquarters share the same road as of Nokia in Finland.

As I can see here, Nokia will build phones together with Huawei. Maybe it will be something like what the TCL produces now. Some kind of fusions. And if not phones then it may be accessories. :)

But Nokia did make Many inventions while They were still makin phones, so They still own Many Many patens conserning mobimephones technology.
