Huawei is really a beast of a company. They are number 2 in the world for mobile phones/in front of apple who are number 3.

Plus, huawei is the biggest company in the world for telecommunications equipment... Nokia in 4th

TheLostWanderer, 21 Dec 2017I hope that will help them start to make actually good phon... more600usd for a nokia 8 that comes with a 5.3inch qHD display, IP54 certified, already out with Oreo, SD 835, usb 3.1 while the majority of flagships comes in 2.0, headphone jack, all aluminium body, Carl Zeiss camera with OIS, microsd card slot.
Come on, that's an awesome deal.
The oneplus 5 came for 500USD and look, no sd card slot, no IP rating, cameras with no OIS, usb-c 2.0, full hd screen...
                  --
The nokia 8 was this years big bargain after the oneplus 5.
I've gone with the oneplus 5 and next i went to the oneplus 5T which i use right now. And personally, the updates from oneplus are slow, liek, really slow, we had last week the recent update which came with the october security patch (we're in december)
no sd card slot, camera is terrible to be honest, the lack of OIS makes the camera less than mediocre.
Don't get me wrong, the oneplus is a great device, the screen of the oneplus 5T is awesmoe but the Nokia 8 is so much better in every level

Good for business to share and in return pay due diligence.
As for chip chasers, you can never have all people happy. An 835 chip in the 9 if it ends up with that, is just fine with Nokias refinements. 835 is already way more powerful than most people use.
Geez, our team uses a 615 HTC A9 and it serves and drives the business very well.
Wanting more than 835, sure ok but it really is a first world issue. I certainly wouldn't be knocking an 835 device. Some people need a life.

Looking forward to seeing what comes up. The toughness of there hardware is legendary.

Nokia 8's 5.2 inch screen is big enough for me and my previous daily driver is an iPhone 5S. All the camera engineers moved to Apple so that's why it's not as good as it was before. I know that the Nokia 9 is the LG G6 of 2018 but that doesn't stop LG so the same goes for Nokia right?

Don't be all pessimistic. HMD will help Nokia make a huge comeback. I do hope that the patents they regained and still have will finally be in one of their newly released phones.

Screens are not big enough, camera is not best anymore, looks like Nokia 9 will have 835, which will be outdated next year anyway etc. I know delusional Nokia fans will disagree with me, but sales shows that it's not most desirable phone.

I hope that will help them start to make actually good phones. Or they will just be even more overpriced.
