              No word on the H870DS..?
Damn, that's the best version since it get's you: extra storage, dualSIM, QuadDAC and is the cheapest version. I bought it 7 months ago on-sale for €299 when the OnePlus 5 was a more expensive let-down... and it compares favourably to the S8 as well since its more sturdy, grippy, louder sound, and slightly longer battery life than the S8 (but lacks the OLED display, wireless charging and the newer processor).

              People need to pipe-down here.
LG's software and UI used to be horrible, especially since the days of the LG G3. Even the LG G5 was a letdown. However, the LG G6 and the LG V30 are the first from LG to actually have a decent software. However, its not perfect and you cannot alter the ROM (bootloader locked) unless you have one of the few variants that can be OEM Boot Unlocked. And I should know, since I've flashed multiple Samsung devices to remove that old TouchJizz stuff, gross.

Anonymous, 28 Dec 2017Wow! That UI looks so bad. Also, I can see elements copied... moreI think it looks better than previous versions, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

So, this phone's doesn't even suck this much, but it's software UI does suck badly. That with the fact the phone isn't really the best looking makes the experience of using it terrible...

That UI is terrible but it's better than nova launcher that will make your phone lagging. I'd never use launcher and stick with default UI software and that's just my opinion. If you want near stock android experience go for Oxygen OS or Sony's latest oreo OS both fast smooth and stable than other UI out there.

Could you guys stop complaining about the UI? I know it would be nice to have it cleaner in stock, but as long as you can download theme that heavily change the appearance of all icons, why would you complain? Clearly empty hate towards this...

Call me stupid but I actually like LG's software; much more stable than Samsung's despite being just as heavily skinned. Especially the camera app with nicely organized controls.

OMG. Still the same outdated ugly looking LG skin ((( I would much more prefer older version of Android but better LG interface. LG skin (and especially icons) looks so cheapish that remind me old Samsung TouchWiz. It doesn't matter how good hardware is but I know people who were turned off by this terribly looking skin. Downloadable themes are not much better and can't help here.

I don't mind any ugly homescreen from any brand (i'll use a launcher anyway), but LG please change the design of your fugly settings menu. It's so uncomfortable to see or use. So messy and if you think separating into tabs are to make it easier to use, it's not.
