Good Luck for Google, I am happy for this news because i am using nexus S, and I think android is the best mobile OS for now.

Nokia should have moved smartly and swiftly and could have capitalized on their innovations which they done long back.
I see Nokia's fall as not just lack of SYMBIAN, seems to be as a systematically engineered to remove Nokia from competition. All these guys who are supporting Microsfot platform are just BUFFs.
Meego and Linux phones of Nokia was very powerful, if at all Nokia had capitalized on these platforms which they had built. If Nokia can capitalize on Meego there can be a revival as Android sits like a BIG BALL which needs more CPU power to work, while Meego, Linux may not that CPU horse power and can prove boon to CELL Phone manufacturers......

But nokia need to invent new good operating system. Nokia mobiles design are great user friendly. If nokia can create more good operating system than symbian ,nokias phone will again regain their excellence. So it is a challeng for nokia whether they can create a good operating system or not. This point will govern nokias phones popularity in future. And i belive that they have the ability to create more effective operating system like android. So i hope they will do it in recent future

The smartest move a 10 year old could have told you to do would be for you to drop your stupid symbian and move to the NEXT BEST OS. This way, they wouldn't be in the stupid situation they are. Sure, everyone wants to dominate with their OS, but there is a LIMIT. Yes! A LIMIT.
And this limit has been reached with symbian, it is no longer in, they can't keep up with the OS.
I was myself a Nokia user, in fact, all my phones up to now have been NOKIA, right now i'm using samsung galaxy s. I can't be any happier, great phone, great OS.
I am SURE if nokia had switched to Android OS. I would be using a NOKIA phone with ANDROID OS right NOW.
They can still do the right thing, but no! They are too busy trying to avoid Android at all costs, lets just hope windows 7 OS saves their ass. Otherwise it's good night Nokia, for good.

As a die hard Nokia fan, this news is heartbreaking. I feel bitter towards Android and its success is the cause of Symbian's downfall. Symbian would still be rulling the world if it wasn't for this OS. Android is the cause of Nokia's misery. I can still remember the days of the HTC Dream and Hero and me and my fellow Nokia fanboys were laughing at it. I miss the days when owning a Nokia makes you feel proud and superior. Now, owning a Nokia means you are owning something outdated and inferior.
