So Nokia 6 won.
I am glad it wasnt Samsung Sony or Apple.
Nothing good comes from these 3 apart from high price for nothing special.

If they withhold the late... moreAnd lett me guess, you don't mind it when others like Xiaomi copy Samsung to get you same stuff for less money because Samsung has large Research and Development unit, unlike them? It costs much more to develop something than to just copy it. No wonder they have to do something about it to keep profits high enough to continue development. If big names like Samsung disappeared, phones would either get super sucky, or even your beloved Chinese manufacturers would shoot up their prices.

Acoustic Surface has the potential. For one, it doesn't require any external space so phones can be made bezel less easier. Because it uses the whole front glass to produce sound, the volume might be raised to some extent, and get it louder with subwoofer that can be placed on either the bottom, top, or back of the phone.
Personally, the true meaning of bezel less is about literally not having anything on the front but the screen itself.

I hope they can put XPERIA Z5's dual front facing speakers onto them with better clarity and loudness, but putting bezels only for the speaker would be a waste, so add a little bezel for the front camera would still be ok, plus comparing XPERIA Z5 to the rest of the X series, XPERIA Z5's dual front facing speakers can trim down more bezels because of where it is placed. I think the "Acoustic Surface" from their beast TV is not so well suited for smartphones, it will still probably not be the loudest speaker around for smartphones. But 2018 is a new year, and I am definitely looking forward to the new Mirai design, hope it won't disappoint

I want to see a true bezel less device in 2018.
I mean, literally nothing on the front but the screen covering the entire.
Front camera can be a mechanical hidden component that can be pulled out of the top when it is needed and be hidden when not in use.
Proximity sensor can be built on the main display maybe?
And dual front speakers are good, but they don't match the demand for less bezels. Acoustic Surface like on the Sony Bravia A1 OLED TV should be started now.

Samsung simply stays on top. I am looking forwards to what Samsung will bring in upcoming years.
Maybe new OS? Since we desperatley need one, because both, Google and Apple are starting to go into wrong direction!

A. If Sony didn't invent those things, we won't have them as early as possible. The same way, I thank Samsung for their super efficient SoCs that led Qualcomm into making even more competitive and better chipsets that Sony and almost every other Android users are using. Sony deserves the credit that they should be getting, yet some people like you won't, rather you even criticize them for simple mistakes that are no worse than the bigger brands.
B. If Sony doesn't exist right now, I wonder why the XZ Premium was the best new smartphone of 2017 and not the LG G6 with a more modern 18:9 full screen bezel less design.
