The device will be up for pre-order in Samsung's home country of South Korea, with sales beginning January 6.

I threw my phone in trash, same as my friend threw his Doogee and one girl Lenovo and it goes on...
All of these phones were under warranty but none of us claimed it. If it was expensive product - then we would.
My coworker also won't send her Xiaomi back to China. Shipping costs and waiting aren't worth it. She will try to sell it, if she doesn't she will probably give it away or throw it.

    In my country in shop i working for we have more than 40 different brands for sale and no problems with complains if anything happens.
    The company we buying from is very friendly tovards us.
    Everybody is different.
    Had Iphone 6 back then when it was a brand new and was dissapointed with a low battery i mean quickdrain. Also everytime i wanted to do something it asked for password, it asked for password when i tryied to connect to apple store download a game etc. Whats was maybe more worse almost every app cost money. Almost nothing for free. When i connect to the googleplay there are zilions of free apps but in applestore i was barely finding 10.
    I get rid of that phone after 3 months because i was feeling very frustrated.
    Thats to my apple story.
    Since then no more apple and the password it always asked for.
    Great phone for a good price. I know its not possible not with every brand because some china brands are bad even amongs the china. Like Coolpad or Cubot which offers outstanding specs for a unbelievable low price. But the quality is also unbelievably low.
    I mean having 8 core CPU and 6gb ram in phone with a 64 gb disk space for less than 180 sounds great unless you discover in a 2017 phone an CPU from 2014 and GPU from a SAME ERA .Whats worse a low end model. Even games liek chess were sluggish.

      I had to work with both - Lenovo and Huawei. They both just sucked immensley.
      Nokia Lumia wasn't chinese phone, but it sucked in it's own way.
      I owned Acer Liquid Z520 - it was pure trash. It was actually from Taiwan and made in China but still...
      I know lots of friends who complain on Lenovo, one friend had a Doogee which simply shut off and never turned on again...
      My coworker recently ordered Xiaomi from china. Even though I reccomended Samsung, someone mentioned Xiaomi and she wanted to be different... today I heard that her phone arrived last friday, and it's speakers don't work straight out of the box. To claim warranty she has to pay shipping there and back, and also wait for who knows how long till it's repaired.
      So I don't know is it because of the way they ship those things here to Balkan on what? Why so many people here have so bad experience with them?

        S8 User, 13 Jan 2018I'm no longer in teleoperator business and I no longer sell... moreMan same as you i give phones to my family members or freidns who needs them. Or i sell them for a low price.
        My roof in phones is usualy 400 eur max 500 but thats happens only once but it turns as a biggest failuer i ever bought. Sony Erricsson U8i Vivvaz. In first 2 years this phone was like 70% time in service centre for repair and several timmes has been replaced completely.
        My Vibeshot for 382 eur from lenovo After 2 and half year is still working like a brand new.
        My Huawei G6 would do same if i accidentaly didnt drown him into toilet.
        Had many brands in my hands but to be honest chinese phones proved better than brands like Samsung Sony or Apple thats why i am against theses because i had a bad experience and if somethig fails you once you never step to the same river again.
        Thats my hones opinion.

          I see that you simply know what you are doing.

          And at last, even tho I might replace my Samsung phone in just like 2 years - I will give it to someone. I usually give my old phones to my mother or some other family member who just needs a phone good enough to make calls and not to lag at using whatsapp. So even a 2+ year old mid-range Samsung will be more than capable to make calls and send texts + use a single app. I never threw away a working phone.
          But yeah, I see then why you prefer chinese phone then. In your case when phone gets old you just get a new one for cheap price. Like many people who buy cheap phones because they don't worry if they crash them then, and they are sometimes just clumsy.
          And in my case, I need a phone which will keep working even when I get a new one, because someone else will use it. Samsung phones tend to last, my uncle for example still uses S3 that he got in 2012.

And to be honest i have a 36. Born 17.12.1981 so i am know what i am talking about and usualy carry info or proof so no lies.
            My first rule as a salesman: Never give a false information or lie to your customers because it can turn against you and thats the worst thing for a bussiness. If i dont know i tell them i dont know or try to search on internet. Trying to tell them something thats a lie or misinformation is the worst possible case. If you loose one customer you loose all because one tell to others and others wont come to your shop again.
            Second rule: Be friendly as possible and keep smiling all the time and help or try to help them in any possible way. This is the best possible way how to make a friends even among a customers and so good response means more they return to you and more of their friends will come to your shop even with for a little things or just for some information.
            Third and last rule: Customer is always right. I never argue with my customers and what they say is for me like saint.
            And my special rule: Be your self, apologize for mistakes you did and understand that every day you have something new to learn.

            Now to other i understand why you dislike a chinese phones but on the other hand,
            If a 400 eur Samsung last 4 years for example and chinese 200 eur phone with same specs and stats will last 2 years why to waste 200 moore eur for a phone which you will anyway replace for something better after a year or two.
            Phones getting old and they getting old really fast.

              I just know, there is stuff you don't like about Samsung. Just I was amused that you hate them so much to just talk bad about them. And then I tried to do various comments and tricks to provoke some reaction. It turned out that you are quite mature.
              I personally dislike the phones you like (chinese phones).
              But I guess it's just personal prefference. We both have our own reasons why to like or not to like something.
              Just to mention, I also worked with phones a lot. Just not repairing like you do. I worked for 3 different teleoperators. So I know that most people take contracts because of the phone, Samsung and iPhones sell the most. And pretty much all contracts (atleast in my country) are a rip-off. That's the wiew from seller's perspective. Consumers are usually misinformed, they don't do research, and seller is just focusing them on what will they get with contract, so the thought about price goes to back of their head if you get me.

                I have like to say 6th sense and i can recognize a lott of things from a details.
                Similar to Hercule Poirot in an Murder in an orient Express movie.
                I am no detective but i am very clever to stick two and two together i hope and believe you know what i mean. Despite talking with me is sometimes complicated i wont hide my genius inside me.
                Despite i understand anyone sometimes i cant understand certain people at all.
                But thats difficult to explain.
                Anyway 8 eur for 1000 mins and sms and 4gb net is quiote good.
                In my country we have simillar example to that for just 5.
                But that network provider have good signal only in big cities.
                For the rest its difficult.

                  And I just have to admit, as much as you might think I'm angry at you, this is fun and I actually like debating with you. You are really intelligent person, my friend. As much as we disagree on some points, I have to give you that.
                  I used to have "TheLostWanderer" nick here before and I recently changed it into this name, because it gets more people flared up. :)

                    For example i pay for my Moto X4 9 eur a month for 24 motnths thats the contract rest was covered by my netvork provider i mean the call contract i have. Where i pay 30 eur for having a 2GB data each month and unlimited calls and messages to any number anywhere. Apart from ones you have to pay for for example audiotext numbers or satelite ones etc. But for the rest i am free to talk as much as i want and my bill will remains 30 + 9 for a phone in euros.
                    For me 2GB is enough and for the rest i use home or work wifi.

                      And I will most likley use my S8 for years before buying a new phone.
                      I had Galaxy Y for like 4 years before getting a chinese phone, which died in about a year.
                      Then I got A5 2017. But close member of the family needed a new phone and instead of buying her something like Galaxy J5 I decided to get myself flagship. So I got S8 and gave away my A5.
                      I usually find other deals to buy phones. I don't really buy them in classic way, I could still afford it, but it's way too big price difference in exchange for some convenience...

                        Well i cope with midrangers i always have a roof i wont cross. Despuite i can afford on a contract Iphone X i wouldnt do.
                        Its just overpriced and for same money my midranger Moto X4 does the same tricks.
                        I dont need a 100% perfect phone. Because i am not 100% perfect.
                        For me my Moto X4 with lets say 90-95% is more than enough.

                          They cant pay people they treat them as slaves and always they try to put them much more work that they could do.
                          I dont need to tell you a lot of people were forced to stop until company fullfil their needs.
                          Untill now nothing changed. Samsung just never hear.

That was the worst tech I ever used. From tablet doing stuff on it's own to phone shutting off randomly. Just awful!

                              And 500€ is a bit more than 50% of my salary. And I need 400€ a month for my needs, and I have savings too.
                              So, why in the world would I get a Xiaomi then? S8 has so much better screen, more features and better camera. I used to have mid range or even chinese phones before and they were just... awful. So now I stopped saving money on stuff important to me - that includes phones too. I hope you understand.

                                From a so called top company on the globe you wont expect to give used batteries into your phones.
                                So at least i pay to a trustworthy company where i get all new all working.
                                I am not interested in that haircutter apple X :-)
                                And last thing. My shop sells about 40 brands i can name them all but it takes too loong time. Including Sony Samsung Apple, HTC, Huawei, Catterpillar and lot more. Not only chinese,
                                But to be honest average salary in my country is 500 eur a month.
                                So what do you think? Will people pay for Apple X 1400 eur where they have to place 3 months of hardwork to get a one phone?
                                I think no. Now you know why xiaomi and other chinese brands outselling other so called top companies.
                                In the world are lot more countries where the salary is even worse than here.
                                Do you think people will buy Apple for 800 eur and go starve on streets for several months? I know a contract is a solution when you have money to pay it.
                                But as soon as you loose your job you loose a life as well.

                                  At least chinese companies dont use used batteries or dontmake a zillion bugs and patch ups on every single IOS update.
                                  At least here i know what i am paying and for why.
                                  In case of your so called top companies you pay like 50% for a phone and rest for a sticker with your copany logo. Thats not something i want.
                                  Unless you try phone made and assembled in china with a top class brand like huawei Meizu Motorola Xiaomi or Lenovo you wont understand what means QUALITY for a LOW PRICE.
