Aluminum oxide is just a regular aluminum which undergoes oxidizing process.
Aluminum oxide = Corroded Aluminum.
Sony intentionally corrode it to produce permanent colors. they apply electricity to it, then it will be corroded and produce colors.
you are easily fooled by sony's marketing b**lsh*t. they lie to you

Any leaks shown from the China I won't take it seriously because render surface is only the Chinese imagination, if you know the Sony came from and corporate sides it must be leaks from another sides.
Material of XZ1 is full Alkaleido Metal it looks like the Gundam armour, how can people still complaining, they must be trolls from the competitors and they use an very old W950i to compare, it such a shame they are not using recent flagships to compare WTH with them!

I used to be die hard and an ardent fan of Sony. But with time Sony has stopped innovating. They are now bringing phones which are behind the current technical baseline for a segment.
Sony was known to be a leader in innovation. Not sure, if many of you observed, sony's phones were much ahead of time. I had W950i which was a touch enabled phone with stylus and handwriting when other phones were just thinking about it as a concept. They have been inspiration to many including apple. But now, I beg to differ. They need to change. Bigger bezels, outdated PoCs, material for body......till then I will stick to alternate brands.

I personally was a big fan of Sony's side power fingerprint reader but even that's now replaced and i hope this xa2 is a budget phone because if its a high end i wouldn't even bother to look at that old machine or the outdated innovation.

Everyone is arguing about bezel or bezel less, but when you look at the bezel less phones they're not really bezel less, they have reduced bezels yes, they still have top and bottom bezels, so they're not bezel less. I think the only phone that can be called bezel less is the Essential phone, granted there's a small notch for the front camera, but it does not have any top, bottom or side bezels. People should stop arguing about this topic since the phones they are using for their arguments are not actually bezel less.

And lastly, last time I check all your mentioning companies are begging the awful and shameful Sony for cameras, so there :)

To be honest I like the design but the chief complaint I have if these are true are the alleged thicknesses. 9.5 is too thick. Should be 7.5 or lower.

Why you need higher volume? If you're with company and want to make party - take bluetooth speaker. In every case will be better than any phone speakers. If you're outside on the street or in puvlic transport - use your headphones - or you want to be heard in the crowd - to be THE MAN?!?
Top and bottom bezels are ok for me if they keep front stereo speaker. Anyway in lanscape mode, when i watch videos, i need to hold the phone somehow comfortable.
