why the people compare this mid ranger phone with Samsung's s8 or note 8 or iPhone x.
I think sony's mid range phone is that much good to compare it with s8 or iPhone x.
look iPhone 8 or 8+ they are high end phone with bezels but no we are sony haters so we only talk about sony phone not iPhone this phone is comparable to Samsung J series phone so compare with it.

[deleted post]Actually the greedy one is samsung because it quality is under expectation. The issue like battery depleted can't be charge again, screen auto on when not in use,fragile body...if over warranty date the user must be very angry, because I am the one who suffer from the low quality samsung phone.

Maybe last year Sony won but no more this year, and the truth is Sony phones is going underrated every year, even Sony CEO said Sony is not much interested in smartphones right now but they do interested in VR technology. CK, 05 Jan 2018You need loud sound to Samsung; you need quality of music, ... moreNo, not illiterate. I just have better cameras (Nikon D750 with f2.8 trinity, and faster primes and macros when photos really matter, and a D7000, P900 and P7800 when they don't as much). Then there's Gopros, Theta S, for things that cellphones can't do. Mi Sphere should arrive this week, so looking forward to trying that out.
The camera on my phone really is for when I don't have another device with me, or when it's just more convenient. The best camera is always the one you have on you right?
For what its worth, I generally use all of my imaging devices in manual mode, including phones, and they can yeild good results in certain scenarios, but not all. For now though, my phone is best used as a screen and a device to compile and share.
