Sony Xperia XA2, XA2 Ultra, and L2 press renders leak
While its upcoming bezel-starved flagships might be more exciting, Sony is also preparing to launch a bunch of new mid-rangers in the next few weeks, either at CES or at MWC. Today official-looking press renders for three such devices have been leaked.
We're talking about the Xperia XA2, XA2 Ultra, and L2. The first two of those are obviously going to be the successors to the XA1 and XA1 Ultra from last year, while the L2 is meant to replace the L1.
The XA2 Ultra and L2 got shown off in renders based on CAD schematics just a couple of days ago, and the XA2 had some spy shots outed and may have already passed through the FCC.
The XA2 is expected to come with a 5.2-inch 1080p touchscreen, the Snapdragon 630 SoC, along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. On the rear will sit a 21 MP snapper capable of 4K video capture, and an 8 MP cam will take care of selfies.
The XA2 Ultra should use the same chipset and rear camera as its smaller sibling. It will ship with a 6-inch 1080p display, however, and a dual 16 MP selfie shooter system. 4GB of RAM will be in, and 64GB of storage expandable via microSD. Both the XA2 and the XA2 Ultra will run Android Oreo.
The Xperia L2 will boast a 5.2-inch 720p touchscreen, but may disappointingly come with Android Nougat on board when it launches. It might be powered by the same Snapdragon 630 as the other two, but that's all we know about it right now.
The design of all of these handsets closely resembles what Sony's been putting out in the past few years, so it looks like the Japanese company is only planning to use 18:9 screens and minuscule bezels on its flagships in 2018.

Sony's phones are square and clumsy, it's a shame not to design them like LG or Samsung
