Screen protector show Galaxy S9+ bezels will be only slightly thinner than S8+'s

Really, it's only the bottom bezel that seems to have changed.

            Back then:

            Most RAM
            Best Camera
Best BtS ratio amongst flagships (s4)

            *0* charge time (removable)
SD card (back then it mattered)

S8 is 1080p too, that's the resolution that most people use because that is what S8 defaults to. Yeah you can get it to 1440p but it is useless as it is hardly better in everyday use and still uselss for VR (it's the awkward "in-between resolution).

S8 is 4GB of RAM and probably the slowest flagship of 2017.

By comparison Mate 10 pro has more battery (4000 vs 3000), 6GB of RAM and far better camera ... you know things that people use everyday (battery , performance, camera), not secondary stuff that hardly anyone ever uses anymore.

On the other end it has been of tantamount important for Samsung to do so, yet she doesn't. Samsung VR would had looked excellent if not for the low res (for VR) screen. Mobile VR is for few things anyways, all you need is high res, which samsung has for years, but she doesn't even attempt to mass-produce , because you know .... cost cutting, fanboys would eat that anyway...

"Yeah Xiaomi did do it before but does the screen hold a match against the S8 displays"

Irrelevant, my point was to show that samsung is not trying new things. Yeah S8 is better than a MiMix in some things, it is significantly worse in others. 3000 Mah VS 4400 Mah for one, total package my arse.

"So they made a bigger display and smaller battery and its slightly worse."

So you're ok that despite being a new gen the actual.battery.life went down, right? Yeah Xiaomi did do it before but does the screen hold a match against the S8 displays?? Hell no does the camera nope it dont. The thing is Samsung is an overall package. Has a 1440p display, has a sd card, FPS. Its the all in 1 package even if it has a few issues.

"What about the battery life? Well it manages to be *worse* than S7's."

                                  Number 1 S8 display is 5.8 Inches and S7 is 5.5
Number 2 S8 has a 3000mah battery so even smaller than the S7 edges 3600 battery.
So they made a bigger display and smaller battery and its slightly worse.

"Camera is on par, fingerprint placement is *worse* than most/all its competitors... etc."

Android wise their is no OEM who has the full complete package Samsung provides. Heck even Google Phones dont have SD Card slots or headphone jacks.

Samsung and LG are the last few OEM's who are chucking all the features they can into devices.

It *has to* be the raw power that runs S8. Well Exynos 7895 is the smallest upgrade in.the.history.of Exynos chips. It's significant how much it sucks (yet not a peep from Samsung's fans). Before it Samsung would upgrade 40% yoy their processor's performance. 7895? 5% tops, a proper highway robbing.

It spites that there are people that think that s8 was anything other than a giant f**k you from Samsung to its users. Mostly because they open the door for more f**k yous from Samsung, basically disallowing her to be competitive.

As for Apple "finally" becoming competitive. She had the best SoC and ram management for years. Cameras were always near top. She s*cked in extra features (some say she still does, she is just a bit tiny better) and of course being a walled garden pretty much making her useless for any serious users.

That's not.to.mean that androids should simply roll over and die, yeah my next phone would also be an android (most possibly not a Samsung though) *because* I can root, install xposed, chroot linux and then beam it... *all* important features, but Android and especially Samsung should pick the slack back up ... even Apple is teaching you a lesson.

The S9 is not very likely to change much on that design, as complete makeovers are both expensive, as it changes the design of everything inside, too, plus the more important reason that is, it risks devaluation the brand recognition if their flagships looks different every year.
Again, the S8 was such a massive game changer that Apple decided to push the X model forward almost a full year as they knew their 8 couldn't compete.
