Iris scanner and Face detection is only for unlocking a phone biological certification, but it can be done by a niche side fingerprint scanner so why should they put the same feature on a phone? It is totally ridiculous on wasting the R&D!

The most excited features 2018 is 3D Creator because everyone is 2D while only Xperia can do 3D images. Compare to Samsung Iris scanner or iPhone face detection, Sony 3D Creator is FTW!
Lag behind in technology is repeat a feature with 2 different technologies: The iPhone face detection or Samsung Iris scanner is featured for unlock the phone but at the same time their fingerprint scanner also do the same job. It is a waste because the gimmick lie to every fans.

No "Flexible displays" option? That looks like it could be THE big thing in tech in 2018. Not mainstream obviously, but as a the first true mobile innovation in years.

I can guarantee you that a camera from Nikon just for 100 eur does much more better photos than a Note 8. Thats the facts. So for the difference in price between OP5T and Note 8 for example i can buy a camera and with the rest of the saved money i can go on nice vacation for example.
Diference between 1080p and 2160 is small almost none for a human eye on a 5 inch phone screen therefore its useless as having a laser sight ion a slinger or parking camera for a motorbike.
Waterproof its another clumsy inovation which makes your phone very expensive and have no practical use. Unless you live in rainforest, call during heavy rain or get a hangover on disco and accidentaly drown your phone in a wine or a beer mug you really dont need waterproofing. Rest is just your opinion. Like no stereo. Samsung doesnt do Dolby Atmos either where even a lower midrangers from lenovo use a Dolby Atmos dual speaker technology.
For the last the moment you sign up to samsung or give permision to any of apps they colecting data from you as well. You have no idea how the certain app will use your data all you can is just think about but you will have no clue at all.

Unfortunatelly 2018 will stay in the history as the year the manufacturers burried phones and started producing shovels only. Whatever feature to put in the phone, there are no more phones. Perhaps this will go away in 3-4 years, as it was with the wrist watches, but people with normal hands and pockets will have hard times.
