Every phone in today is looking just the same box with just a different brand name on them.
Cause it has the sharp corners it is different then others but it's not a quality. And i never want my self a sharp corner phones anymore. I had them on Lumia 830 and sometimes i missed calls cause i didnt get the phone out of the pocket fast enough cause thanks to these sharp corners the phone got stuck in fabric.
It's not a hater comment and everyone who sees it this way is to blinded by fan-ism

J5 2017 cost like A1 from xiaomi and j5 is much slower with mucch lover diskspace worse camera plastic and so. Just a bad phone like almost everything with Samsung sticker on it.
Only good (litterary) is price but in this gcase with my expresion means very expensive.

To fix you your Sony XZ1 cost aproximetly same as Xiaomi A1.
But for a Same price Xiaomi uses much faster Snapdragon offers 4 GB ram bigger Sony have only 3GB ram and slow mediatek procesor, and better display, much better and bigger battery 2300 of Sony vs 3080 of A1.
And a 64GB diskspace compared to 32 GB of Sony XA1.
So its pricey and you compare crap VS a beast which A1 truly is.

Apple dont do midrangers apart from Iphone 5C which was only a little bit cheaper than 5S.

Sony is the only brand that do effort in it’s midrange segment just look at the design from Xperia M5 to this XA2 it’s a midrange but it’s design is very unique and flagship looking lol.
(Just don’t reply if you REALLY hate boxy design, you will never appreciate Xperia design language) ow wait and samsung too with the A82018 series it is a flagship looking mid-ranger with a price of a flagship! with no 4Kvideo recording, and i think it doesn’t even have 120fps video recording(correct me if i’m wrong)

Plus! Sony did that with the M4Aqua and M5 from the design of the Z3.

Galaxy A8(... moreBut you must remember dude, Nokia 8 and iPhone 8 has one of the largest bezel in 2017 yet still haters bully Sony that actually crossed 70%. Now Sony has trimmed the bezel which is as not thick as that Nokia 8 or iPhone 8.
Despite the 18:9 trend, Sony and Nokia will never go for that trend. 16:9 and bezelless display is the best!!!!

They expected these mid rangers and a low end device to compete with the likes of the Galaxy S9/S9+ in terms of design, hence why the criticism.

I don't get the hate. If bezels are the problem, then they shouldn't be finding it on a mid ranger. Even Samsung's Galaxy A8 2018 devices have larger bezels than their flagships.
True evolution of Xperia design will be seen at the XZ flagship that will be announced at MWC 2018, named 'Mirai.' I guess that design will hopefully stop all these nonsense talk of sh*t.

Redmi 5 Plus is just an inferior device to the XA2.
Not only does it carry the brand reputation and quality, but by using the phones themselves, there's really just an unexplainable feeling of Xperias that other devices just simply couldn't offer. That, a good feeling, of course.

Not only will one find positivity in life but also be more productive than they are.
Those people even accused me of being paid by Sony for being a defendant here when clearly I ain't. I'd wish to be a Sony product promoter, but I am not yet in the right age to do it.
I only do multiple replies to those who hate on Sony because I always feel like they are underestimating and under-appreciating something. If these trolls never really existed, Sony would get way more attention than they are getting now.
And have I made mentioned of the "storytellers" who act like they have actually owned a Sony phone before, then rant by making a FAKE STORY about how bad the device is, suggesting everyone to avoid their phones?
