To you, the end user, Treble means absolutely nothing if the OEM doesn't allow bootloader unlocking and so far no Nokia phone allows it, and until they do, whether there phones have Treble is pointless, moot, irrelevant

2. The phone will be updated for security by NOKIA for 3 years(extra 1 year compared to normal feature updates) as per Google stock ROM(even good manufacturer like Samsung provides 3 years update to the Note 4-came out in 2014-last updated JULY 2017).
3. A 3 year old phone won't be much of a hacker's target anyway.
4. A responsible "adult" will always change their phone to the latest model IF they require that much security..
So..
This NOKIA is good even without Treble.

For a company with a very good update policy like NOKIA treble is redundant really.. NOKIA's rom is already near stock.. Treble is only needed by those heavily modified UI's like Samsung and those pesky chinese phones with NO updates at all.. NOKIA even without treble is all GOOD.. Hail NOKIA!!

Nokia are delivering quick updates and guarantee two major updates, so project treble isn't an issue. It's more for the other makes who take ages for updates. But not great that they ship with nougat and oreo counts as an update when it isn't really. Who knows maybe oreo doesn't count.

Its simple they wanted to avoid treble and for thise who dont know what treble is it allows you to simply flash a custom rom by unlocking bootloader you dont have to check chipset and devices with chipset other than snapdragon can also flash custom roms which was previously not possible as mediatek, exynos and kirin dont release source codes for their chipsets in simple words samsung s8 snapdragon and exynos version both can boot custom roms instead of only snapdragon like previously

Because the storage are still clean, partitioning doesn't harm it in anyway. In fact, with Project Treble you can have a phone that can always be updated, just like Windows. It's actually Google themselves who built generic AOSP ROMs for any phones that support Project Treble.

The great thing is, the ROM works on every smartphone that support Project Treble, even they have different chipset. We're looking at a revolution of Android ROMs here! Hate the UI? You can just flash generic ROM, just like installing a Windows, and use substratum for more personalization.
Although Nokia phones has locked bootloader, they said it themselves that they're going to release unlocker software

Most of people don't have a clue about technologies. Most here are hating on Nokia that they don't support project treble. Well you don't need Treble in that case. HMD delivers their own updates to their own Android "almost stock version" and their devices are bootloader locked. Now do most of you here have ever heard what Project Treble is? Because for me, it looks like you only fancy it because of it's name. And BTW, only the Pixels might use Treble. The others brands would avoid it.

I'm curious, as an "adult" can you explain why would you want your phone become vulnerable to attacks and lack new features two years after you buy it? Not having Treble would also decrease the resell value as well.

Jfc, people.. Treble isn't necessary for fast updates.. There is no difference between a phone that gets fast and timely updates and a phone with Treble. Except for the fact that the OEM have to spend $$ on R&D for Treble. It's not just a checkbox you tick and voila! Project Treble! It's not just a software but also a hardware thing and HMD would much rather spend money on fast updates than R&D for Treble.. The latter would be much much muuuuch more expensive.
