    Clearly a lot of people here haven´t used a garmin in their life. These watches are amazing, I have a forerunner 235 and battery lasts a week running daily close to one hour avg. If no running (so gps off) watch lasts a day with only consuming 5%- 7%.

    Give it a try guys, this is what a samrtwatch should be all about. Smartwatches well excecuted

I do not know any phone that has anywhere near the number of sensors and information than most Garmin models let alone the more expensive ones. Would you swim with your smartphone? Do a triathlon? Of course not.

        I can clearly say no one of u had a garmin watch! all that samsung, apple crap stands ....1 day on batterty! garmin watchess are TRULY sport watches! and whats a point if u can bring phone? the point is if u r not into sport u will never understand! if u just feckin poser then get apple watch, run 1 mile and pretend you are super fit and you are ultra maraton runner! :P

          And what is the point of it? For 400 dollars I will get much better smartphone which will do 10 time more, and still be able to take it with me while I run, this is ridiculous, 5 hours of battery life with turn on GPS and music mode... Yeah, worthless peace of...

                For all the mocking of Garmin watches and activity trackers, you know what? Walk into any electronics store and you can buy one.
                Trying to buy Android Wear? Not so easy.

                  Garmin watches are quite expensive, how does it compare to Apple or Samsung watches? pros and cons?

                    5hrs, hardly day. Still copying old watches, when they can use straps as place for battery. And I don't mean battery-inside, 1,15cm watch outside. Use thick strap and thin watch profile. Maybe not enough competition? Also, seems like no rotating bezel here...
