    1. the first phone with 2K display was VIVO Xplay3s
    2. first phone with HI-Fi DAC chip was VIVO X3s
    3. first phone with 5mp front camera was xplay3s
    4. first phone with 4k video support was VIVO Xplay3s
    5. first phone with 6 gb ram was VIVO xplay5 elite
    6. first phone with OIS was VIVO XShot
    7. first phone with iris scanner Was VIVO X5pro
8 .first phone with dual front camera Was VIVO X9 plus
    9. first phone with 20mp front camera was X9 plus
    10. worlds slimmest (5.1 mm) mobile VIVO x5max

Knowing Vivo "quality" it will probably suck.

I'll wait on this tech until Samsung or Apple perfect it.

Jan, 10 Jan 2018I can do that right now with my Xperia XZ1...My current Sharp Aquos Crystal X also can do that, I just need to squeeze it to wake it up or slide a finger across the display... And it's been this way since 2014... :)

Jan, 10 Jan 2018I can do that right now with my Xperia XZ1... And you don't... morePlease read my answer again. I never said you should read notifications while driving...

But you get the idea: your phone spends most of the time on a table, and around 1 hour in your pocket maybe. Fingerprint sensor on the back is the lamest placement, on the side it is ok but there is not enough area for high security fingerprint reading and there is also a matter of patents. Under the display it's the best placement.

Loveforever, 11 Jan 2018LoL some beautiful anomalies https://www.youtube.com/watc... moreThere are myriad such stories for fingerprint scanning. Besides the system is a few months old, it's constantly learning.

Never had any such issue nor do I know anyone that had it... One thing is for sure, it's much safer than fingerprint even in its current iteration...

Ofir, 10 Jan 2018Vivo are first, Apple will perfect it. I.e fingerprint scan... moreand blaming apple for copying , then they copy it back how its done ...

AnonD-234961, 10 Jan 2018It's easy, put your phone on the table and try to unlock it... moreI can do that right now with my Xperia XZ1... And you don't need to unlock your phone to see your notifications... Unless you want to read all of them. You aren't supposed to be reading your notifications while driving anyway, you are supposed to be focused on your surroundings. Unless you are parked on the side of the road.

Loveforever, 10 Jan 2018Some great anomalies https://www.cnet.com/news/kid-unlock... moreThey are anomalies indeed, nobody is going to pay millions of $ for kidnapping a person and then making a facemask of him. Even if he is as willing, he could simply force that person's face in front of the iphone, or similarly (in older moderls) his/her fingerprint.

Resorting to million $ "solutions" to hack a device pretty much means that the device is unhackable for 99.9% of the uses... You made my point.

                                Gimmick.
Fingerprint lock/unlock is not secure at all. So many others can unlock your phone against your will.

The more secure option right now is 3D face scanning + iris scanning. Or just using a 6-digit PIN.

Fingerprint unlock is a thing of the past as it's not as efficient nor as effective as the face+iris or PIN.
