Samsung and Lg makes most of thier components for their product in house. Samsung and LG has the technology and technique to incorporate any materials on thier phones and it worked well.Take note SAMSUNG and LG are SUPER MANUFACTURING POWERHOUSE and se, rim, apple and nokia do not come any close!
So, which companies are dependent?

You should had known... No matter what, LG and I believe Samsung are budget companies, second grade material and only working for profit not to create loyal costumers and consumer happiness.
You simply can't buy cheap, 2nd grade material and expect it to be as good and as well perfected as first class products from the top manufacturers (in quality not in quantity) as Sony Ericsson, RIM, Apple or Nokia.
They can do whatever they want, they can have dual, triple quadruple cores and whatever screens they want, they are just second class products.
Not even a tiny winy problem in my Arc...

I'm glad this happened. Lg has nobody to blame but there selfs. The only strange question is all of this situation have damaged lg by long run and they didn't see that at all. At all! They thought we should do nothing and get away with it. But this is more damaging then if they did come out and tell the press. We have an issue and we recall the product or just people who have issue with there product. How could they not see that.
This is a set back for at least couple of years for company on mobile department. Who are they going to sell in future. USA? I don't think so. But USA is HUGE market. Who? Europe. Men o men they lost there market because of just one single phone. How stupid is that.
The next question is how the hell did they passed FCC. HOW???
I hope for there sake that O3D is flawless because if it's not. They going to be some huge problems for the company. There mobile division is going to be shut down for good. And they still got to pay suppliers. O men o men LG what the hell did you think about.

Hmmm... now that's interesting... I upgraded my mobile 2 weeks ago. I was quite keen on the LG Optimus 2X but the nice people at Phones 4U said that they didn't have any in stock as they'd been subject to a product recall only a few days previously.
I got the same story from 3 branches although I did see the phone on display in Carphone Warehouse.
At the time I wasn't entirely convinced by the story as they'd just started selling the Optimus 3D on a fairly hefty contract and the Optimus Black / Optimus White, which obviously lacks the spec of the 2X, on the same sort of terms as they'd previously been selling the 2X. So, I wasn't entirely sure whether they were telling me the truth or whether the model had just been "withdrawn" to boost the sales of the other two LG phones.
But now I'm beginning to suspect that some versions of the 2X have indeed been recalled.

[deleted post]I hope so. LG better get their act together and stop rushing products out in the market. It's like a restaurant serving undercooked foods and hopes that their customers wouldn't notice. LG deserves this lawsuit and I do hope the plaintiffs wins this one.

LG has a reputation for not backing up their products. While I was shopping for a TV at Christmas the sales rep actually admitted that while they make a quality product, when there is an issue, often they will hang you out to dry if they can. The guy admitted that they get many complaints from customers. While I think the world is becoming overly litigious, there are times these big corporations need to be taken to task and made accountable

i saw thousands of mobiles in my hands after 10 years at orange sales department. i am also terminal tester:prototypes and new upcoming models. but after you own iphone once, you stuck on it. like the owner of a mercedes. once you have drove a mercedes,you can't buy another car

my latest mobiles were iphone 3gs and now iphone4. itunes is a nightmare, but the sound quality at headphones output is smashing, materials are sturdy and elegant, iphone is superb. at at 2nd hand is very easy to take a very good price.
