By far the best spec'd phone to date. However I would have preferred the biometric finger scanner that the Atrix has and also an FM transmitter!

Taking the largest market doesn't necessarily imply that the phone is the best. It's just that the bandwagon propaganda is present and people keep on buying what they think is patronized by the majority.

GSM Arena itself stated that Samsung Galaxy S II is the BEST so far. It also mentioned in a review that touchscreen phones are more appreciated if they have larger screens.

The specs of your hailed Iphone don't match this droid monster.

Dear God, it took them this long to (well..., about to) reach the other side of the world? We had the SGSII months ago! Still, at least the media-centric people will get a taste of Android's flagship.

[deleted post]I don't see any rational point of doing that, if they release two different size phones then it make sense. Why they want to compete with all those huge phones, when they now have almost own market with very few competition now? iPhone sells so well, why want to risk that?

Huge phones hardly look good. iPhone 4 is best looking phone, it's small, elegant and stylish, it's feel small etc. So it's catch eyes better than those huge phones. And i don't think iPhone 4 is big phone, it's very small phone compared to what we nowdays have :)

I think this is the reason why wp7 devices don't sell (huge phones), WP7 is for average joe too, but phones are too big and heavy for them.

i'v been interested about WP7 phones since launch, but more than year after i still don't see any interesting wp7 phone, few are ok and those are huge phones. (htc hd7 and samsung omnia7)

If nokia can make it smaller and going for smaller phones it might be the one who can sell those wp7 phones.

AnonD-14018, 20 Jul 2011Apple Proprietary port -FAIL Lack of adobe flash -FAIL B... more"Apple
Few free aplication in apple store -FAIL

                            Android + SGSII
Loads of free aplications in Android Market -WIN

Just a few highlights for why the android platform and not just samsung phones are better than apple."

You are so wrong about that one, few? really? :) Everyone who used appstore and android market knows that appstore is far better in many ways, so much better quality of apps/games. My cousin owns zte blade so i know what you can find from android market and it pretty much sucks compared to my iPhone appstore apps.

So i would say WIN for Apple and FAIL for android for that part.

"Just wish that people would end with this iPhone mania. And this is the perfect moment to end it . SGSII landing in US will definetly be a killing blow for iPhone 4 and even the "yet to be seen" iPhone 5"

For this one: Galaxy s2 is not going to be killing blow for iPhone, why all sgs2 users think all want these HUGE phones. You need to realize that iPhone has so much bigger potential to sell than huge sgs2. Don't get me wrong, galaxy s2 feels awesome phone in many ways, but for many it still too big, and i'm not talking about these tech guys, i'm talking about avarege joe's who buy these smartphones nowdays. iPhone is for whole family and sgs2 is not. Sgs2 is going to sell nicely first, but can it make that happen after month after month like apple do? i don't think so, but we'll see what happens.

Which version, if any, will have the Exynos processor? I think I read months back that with CDMA the Exynos can't be used, and possibly not with LTE. So maybe AT&T's version, if it's not LTE, would be the best candidate to use the Exynos? I think there are also supply issues. Main thing I wanted with the Exynos is the browser hardware acceleration, which I don't think the other dual cores offer. The screen seems nicer than the Pentile qHD screens, at least for color representation, so that would be another plus over the other dual core phones, but not sure worth waiting for or switching from T-Mobile.

I fail to see why what you just pointed out isn't seen in everyday phone usage. Some ppl just go for a phone cause its popular, what about what I want in a phone? I just think its always best to know what you're getting b4 getting it. This phone is superb!!!
