I must be one of the few people never to own a Nokia in my life.
Not that I hate them (or any manufacturer for that matter, competition and choice is good for all), but they never produced anything that was desirable, reliable or functionally suited to my requirements.

These figures are entirely expected. Now they will embrace W7, I wouldn't take a Nokia smartphone even if you gave it to me. They went with the wrong OS....a potentially fatal business decision if you ask me!

I predicted their rest of the year will be going down because they picked WP7 and still releasing the dead OS.

whooa, I thought feature phone will increase sales since I always saw C3 more than twice a day. N8 is also always out of stock as many user buys :) As bhelle update comes(when?), meego will be here plus windows phone. Things will get complicated. Hope Nokia's long plan will work.

Symbian is a very bad and unstable os, Nokia was destroy from their own pride and arrogant, forgotten to meet the trend of the market and customer taste,
Samsung could take it over, apple got its own unique market,Nokia? nothing, no design, no improvement, more disappointment. it could end up like GM motor, or the story of Rabbit and Turtle racing

if nokia want to survive next quarter, they need to do this fast:
                    1. FIRE ELOP
                    2. KEEP meego (announce support for meego, and roadmap for next year meego device)
                    3. KICK MSFT out of Nokia playground.

No! I refuse to believe this news. I'm blaming the Android fanboys online who portrayed Nokia and its Symbian as inferior to Android and iOS. It should have been Nokia who's posting industry record breaking profits and not Apple but these anti-Nokia fanboys hurled enough bs at Nokia that the public is now believing their lies.

Who knows, Microsoft might buy Nokia if they keep going downhill.. With a not so successful WP7 platform supporting deal, could be part of some strategy of helping them going down.

I WAS A BIG FAN OF SYMBIAN and nokia. but i will never buy wp7 because music transfer and files transfer are a mess like aplle with itunes. and like all nokia, headphones output will be less powerful than iphone 3,4,5 for shure. if i have now iphone, i have it for two reasons: sound power and clarity via headphones, really blowing, and it's speed on internet browser. i will not buy nokia anymore. stuck on apple as long as they will blow my big fat bass headphones sony xb-700.
