Wish every manufacturer would do this. Yearly refreshes are stupid and the people that keep upgrading early are stupid. Hold on to your phone for at least 2+ years ffs. Waaay to many phones are being produces, component shortages will never stop this way (I want cheap pc ram again).

And when exactly would there be a need for another LG phone? The smartphone market is saturated. All LG has to do is produce good devices, which they usually do, come in at a good price point and advertise aggressively. Releasing a new phone only when needed is a sure way of kicking LG out the market for good.

Very sensible approach.... provide more support and keep the price competitive...keep the specs tight

Last year all other companies wait for SD835 to be available before releasing their flagship. And G6 came out with SD821 because they just want to release phone on regular basic???

Haha. They delayed the G7 because the G6 was launched using SD821, so when the competitors were coming out with SD835, the G6 was immediately considered "old."

So of course LG will now would wait for SD845 for the G7. They will still release smartphones on regular basis, just changing the timing.
