Leaked Samsung Galaxy S9 retail box unveils specs

The alleged box promises stereo speakers and a 12 MP camera with variable aperture - f/1.5 to f/2.4.

    looks like the Galaxy s8

    nothing new here boys, except the fact they made a plus version and that the plus version is dual lense, just the way apple does it.

        Because they did not know back then how phone would react , you know the heat, battery drain...

        When sensor was presented at the press in SF, it was stated that imx400 can do 1000fps@1080p, also 60@4K.

        Sammy had to built it in a different way to avoit patent issues, this way is less efficient than Sony's.

        Imx400 has 1GB ram inside, a sensor would need about 5 to reach 1s recorded.

I know because I have received e-mail from Samsung saying I should download all the data before march otherwise it will be deleted.

                143.3mm diagonally is the same than 5.7 inches.

                  I wish they'd have 128gb as base model for flagship phones. I also wish Samsung would bring back the IR blaster and they would somehow get the battery to provide at least 24 hrs of SOT with max screen brightness.
                  Skipping the S9. Will see what the Note 9 has to offer.

                    What's even the point of a variable aperture on a phone? The 35 mm equivalent of f/1.5 on their phones is already a narrow f/10, when would you need to drop down to f/15?

                        Better camera, better chipset - those are already better improvements.
                        Biggest improvement will be S9+ with dual camera and 6GB of RAM.
                        And I have no clue what Samsung has in store for Note9...

                          S9+ having dual camera, overall camera improvements, stereo speakers... so yeah. I think that S9 will be worth to upgrade from S8. I mean, I will still keep using my S8, just many people will make this upgrade. The S8 was by itself extraordinary phone, and still is. Just S9 manages to be even better. The S8 has some flaws, even tho they are small and hard to find - but S9 corrects them all. Samsung really does listen to it's fans.

                            I forgot to mention that apart from data write speeds and sensor processing speeds, focusing speed is very important for good HDR. I am guessing that this Super Speed Dual pixel would help in faster HDR processing.

                                The sheer amount of vitriolic that Apple famboys spew on the world is amazing.

                                I am guessing that the
                                'Super Speed Dual Pixel' meanseven faster focus than the super fast dual pixel on the S8 and Note 8.

                                Also, while 'Super Slow-mo' could include 1080p video @ 1000 fps, it would also include Full Res (12MP), at 60p or over (upto 120p) Also, to sustain 1000fps for speeds longer than tiny fractions of seconds would also require suffient amounts of on-chip RAM (DRAM). i am guessing that it would help have higher photos in HDR processing, apart from video quality. Also, this may have good HDR 4k video processing too.

                                I personally doubt the S9 may have 10-bit video, due to the slow processing of the Snapdragon 845, and thus maintaining equal performance on both variants (Exynos and Snapdragon).

                                I wish Samsung release a non-US Exynos version that does 4k 10-bit video at high bit rates (with Log). They could charge a premium for it.

                                      Now if only someone could test the camera on W2018. The S9 is going to have the same camera, so such a test would help a lot of people decide whether to buy a Note 8 or wait for S9.
