Hope Xiaomi will fix it soon

I updated to OREO on 01 Jan 2018.
Except minor problem with working of fingerprint scanner (once in few days), no issues of any kind as of now. No battery drain, no delayed response of apps, or anything else.
Again issue about fingerprint scanner is not that major. I have numeric pin back up to wake up the system hence absolutely no problem.

I'm Mi A1 user but I don't have any issue in Oreo however my only complaint is lacking of gesture to swipe on fingerprint scanner in the setting although it still working on my Mi A1. Oreo update for my Mi A1 arrived late around first week of January not on New Year's day.

shappy, 13 Jan 2018I'm also Mi A1 user. Battery is draining fast and apps are ... moreBackup & factory reset, this will solve most of the bugs.

As for battery drain, is mainly due to Google Map activate all the tracking 24/7, try turn off all those useless location setting eg. public transportation, Uber, location tracking for surrounding & etc, also turn off the printing function, after this battery should be back to normal.

Xiaomi Is heading to failure so fast

Lots of extreme bugs since 2014

And their incompetent developers have no clue how to fix them

I thought Google was responsible for Android One updates?

It looks like there is something in Oreo making it hard for updates. Probably that is why there are delays in Oreo updates and some new devices come with Nougat instead of Oreo.

Mi A1 with Oreo for almost 3 weeks and is perfect! My girlfriend same as me... No problem at all!
Don't make bad marketing of the brand, I had almost phones of almost every popular brand and Xiaomi is doing very well in every aspect.

N6, 12 Jan 2018That's why you need a beta test program like Nokia's and On... moreXiaomi rush for the Oreo update release due to the reason there promised Oeeo update for MiA1 by end of 2017, this is part of there selling point during MiA1 launch in India, to have the second fastest update after Pixel (though three are still slower than Sony).

Beta test only last 9 days & another 11 days to fix whatever bugs that Beta user report, this is mission impossible.

Xiaomi really shot there own foot this time, after Hugo Barra left Xiaomi it seem like the current management really hiding wrong direction.

Replace Redmi Note 5 with Redmi 5 plus
Now this Oreo blunder for MiA1

Both there bread & butter products.

Lei Jun should take this seriously as Xiaomi may end up like the pevious King Nokia & Pioneer of Android HTC, even King of Business phone Blackberry, all these company end up as there are due to numerous blunder there made.

Now I even doubt there can fix the Oreo update before end of January, hopefully is not another fixed this spoiled that update.

I think Xiaomi should postpone the Oreo update to end of March just to be safe since February is Chinese lunar New year & most China company are closed for a month.
