[deleted post]Last time I was checking, there was literally 0 reports about Sony's Android Oreo software bug or issues.
Meanwhile, Samsung's Nougat still has battery software problems like won't charge after reaching 0%. And mind you, Nougat is already more than a year old OS. The matter of fact that Samsung couldn't even polish their Nougat software up until now only tells how worse will they do in Oreo.
As much as I like Samsung and their products, software is sadly not their strongest point.

Even Sammy S8 & Note 8 not getting the latest... moreSony is fast in providing updates because they rushed it before testing properly. 1st update to oreo broke clear audio plus and tof sensor and rgb sensor. 2nd update fixed these bugs but broke playstore. Now, 3rd update, playstore bug fixed but who knows how many bugs the latest build have?

Even Sammy S8 & Note 8 not getting the latest update for Oreo.... Still Nougat...
But Sony has rolled out the Oreo and monthly security patch to XZ1, XZP, XZs, XZ, XP, etc... Salute to you Sony.

Sony has been consistently provides latest update (monthly) for the security patch since last year. And even one gen behind, my XZ still got update to Oreo last Nov. Kudos to Sony.
While if iOS provides update everyday too, it is not related to Android support phones! So why bother it.

Guys, guys....next time buy unlocked carrier free phone, you ll get updates constantly directly from Sony.
And yes, phones are actually cheaper if bought unlocked.
So double positive combo that way. ;-)

Oh, for those love Sony, continue to support it. My z5 is going to be my first and last Sony phone. Stopped updates months ago for Singapore users. Small market not important to Sony huh?
