You know what they say about things that sound too good to be true.

Anonymous, 18 Jan 2018Nothing beats removable/replaceable batteries. At last the Arc of removable batteries return! :D

Hm... so 48% of 3,000 mAh battery means a charge of 1440 mAh in just 300 seconds.
that'd mean just 36% in case of a huawei mate. Impressive concept. I have to admit. o.o

                  The possibilities!
If the part of the phone that holds the battery is design the same way as the charger pad you could give a phone 1 USB c connecter and 1 power charger port. Not sure how much more wattage it needs to charge the battery that way but I hope a UCB c connecter can support it. Then we would not need an extra port.

Man, removable battery is such a good feature. Idk why people cry about plastic backs and all, I mean you are going to get a cover anyways.

I hope it makes a comeback. Last good one is the LG G5. Instead of going in to service centers or buying tools for DIY, just buy extra batteries and you're all set. No need for all of those or a power bank.

Yeah ... I will charge my battery to 50% in 5 minutes and to 100% in 20 minutes, and then i'll head over to GSMArena comment section to cry that my swollen battery can't hold the charge for more than 6 hours.

                              I dont think its coming

AnonD-715008, 17 Jan 2018Good. Samsung is already up with graphene ball batteries in... moreRemovable batteries allow you to carry a spare battery

The need for fast recharge is because you cannot just pop in the spare battery

Fast charging or faster charging puts your phone at risk so speeds like this it is safer for the battery to be removed.
There still is a risk as people will still use the phone whilst on faster charge, the number one problem is you can't see the battery, is it swollen etc

Note (7) Samsung did not allow enough room for expansion of the battery which then exploded.

The "stupidity" is that phones have to be waterproof, Why?
That is the reason for non user changeable batteries.

Battery removal battery pull is a form of soft reset frozen phones unfrozen in a jiffy. Warranty is not compromised as DIY battery pull voids a warranty

Faster charging still means you have to carry a USB -C cable, given up spare battery, in exchange for a cable
What Huawei is offering us super fast spare battery charging.

I haven't checked but the cell phone is the only device made waterproof

I am in favour of removable batteries as I experience a freeze approx every six months, I would have been annoyed if I had to take it to authorized repair or posting it back just to have the battery pulled

Would have to see it to believe it.

Would definitely love to have such tech added to a Note 8-like device without giving up the consistent 6+ hours of SOT, fast wireless charging, IP68 water resistance, nor the 3.5mm audio jack...

Good. Samsung is already up with graphene ball batteries in the near future. :)
Anyway, Idk why maybe it is only me but I don't like removable batteries. Huawei should step up their game.
