The fact that there are more mobile gamers than us is alarming to all of us. Hell even my mom is a mobile gamer, and she can't even spell lara croft correctly.

Other than this A8+ is lighter, IP68 certified, f/1.7 and AMOLED display. Atlast pricing will decide which premium mid-ranger is best.

Having pc with windows that you play games on is already win for microsoft in number of customers. Soon it will be even more visible with better connection to xbox and streaming that microsoft will offer. Actually that double number of sold consoles should be alarming for sony.

I did find their design unique and not following trends. Sony is leading and knows it, they are different and doesn't need exploding phones to innovate.
So you want innovation? Please name one other phone that has a 4k screen, name one other phone that has a camera able to achieve 960fps, even for a second. Name one phone that looks like a Sony phone and it's not.
You can't atm, so why the hate?

When most prefer ps4 to develop on and then port the game to xbone.
No Sony is leading here. I never heard of play and neither your neighbour, when everyone knows playstation. Even your grandfather.

A8 is water resistance .
A8 is 75.8% and XA2 is 75.0% screen to body ratio. No big difference ;)

Thanks for confirming what you going to leave smartphone market, but we knew it already, just look at your market share and profits, that's what you get when you do everything last and don't innovate :) Sony is great company in overall but it's mobile division is horrible, and head of it, should be fired immidiatly

Sure, sony was first, but microsoft's got more products(theoretically then also possible customers) on which you can or will be able to play. You know what?
Sony Laptop, Notebook for 1000 eur had a same or even worse specs than same from HP.
And because it was super expensive nobody bought it.
Same going with present A8 Samsung. The price is so high nobody will buy A8 not yet maybe after several months but now nobody not even a die hard fans.

At the end of the day, Sony is a business and its too big of a company to follow just Japanese business culture. If it operated only in japan then maybe, but its a global company with multiple business including movies and TV channels.

he has envisioned some different concept of communication device beyond a smartphone....so he explained he will make sure Sony stays in mobile comm market, not for smartphones per se (ie "just for the sake of"), but to also be relevant (hopefuly a leader) in that envisioned concept of his, once it becomes reality.
What it is, nobody knows...

Sorry bro. Just checked my whole house. I've got 2x sony tvs, 1x lg tv, 1x whirlpool washing machine, 1x fisher paykel dryer, westinghouse deep freeze, lg microwave, a 2x lenovo laptops and a HP, sony surround sound, Lg Blu ray, PS4 Pro, Panasonic DVR and finally 1x samsung fridge. oh forgot 1x sony phone, 1x htc phone 1x iphone 2x ipads and a leapfrog pad for my daughter. SO all up 1/21 devices is samsung. Kind of a big stretch to your claim of almost every appliance has a samsung sticker. they may have a samsung manufactured part but thats not a sticker.
