Canalys: Apple ships 29M iPhone X units in Q4 2017

I dont know why media is treating this like a main iphone. It just an anniversary phone, sort of special edition like olympics phone samsung, oppo and vivo made. And Apple should just made it a limited edition instead of making people guessing the numbers of iphone x. They should focus on iphone 8. I barely seen any news regarding iphone 8 ever since it releases. Seem like nobody care. Apple should know by now they really failed capturing the correct attention. What are their plan now? Make 2nd gen iphone x this year? Then it wouldnt be an anniversary phone anymore would it. Make iphone 8 successor look like iphone x? I highly doubt they could get enough supply for that. Iphone 9 probably gonna look the same like any other iphone again. They really need to step up the game. Show us something realistic that can be done THIS year. Not just flaunting foldable phone patent or under display fingerprint. Even oled display barely a realistic goal for them now.

      So in two months it sold same what S8 last year combined. X is really selling very very badly :D

            Anotger fake analyst from apple

              Another blockbuster quarter for Apple, enough people to take them to glory ! Why not, charge $1750 for the new iPhones and make the notch bigger!! Symbolic hole in users pocket!!

                  So in reality the big chunk of sells are trade-in programs to offset the high price of the iPhone X and the rest of models as second hand resells trades or refurbished plus some news. That means that the real revenue in that case must be only a portion of what numbers of phones selled can show. Half of the profit of if all phones would new without trade-in? Numbers... numbers...

                  The shareholders will certainly not be very happy. Although with such an ugly phone it could have been worse.

                    I still believe that this phone is not worth 70% of its current price.
                    Also... i got myself SE 64 gb as a service phone and i love it.

                      Another day, another analyst with a number :)

                      "Canalys says although the numbers are impressive for a phone with a $999 price tag, they are still lower than the industry and the Cupertino company expected."

                      Apple has never said anything about expected numbers for iPhone X (listen/read the latest earnings call), its just predictions/guesses from analysts.
