Anonymous, 25 Jan 2018That's all phones you fanboy.
What phone radically change... moreIm not a fanboy, I just love tech. I had the ipX and the Note 8 and none is worth the money, especially not the X.
What I am saying is that batteries can be bigger, but they dont want to install them. Cameras can be much better, just remember the time 5-6 years ago, I still have pictures from the lumia 1020 a no page or collumn on the internet in this world can tell me that these pictures are not good. The only tech that advanced is video recording and screen, the rest is going almost backwards. Producers are holding back, producers have arangement and have deals between each other and I just cant understand why people look at Sams like a knight in shiny armor that fights for peoples rights but all they do is charge twice as much a device should cost and apple three times...but at the end of the day its still too much.

But even 5 years ago that excessively exaggerated.
It's no different then the way ios users always said the same thing about eve stock Android forever.
Unless your phone is buggy, needs a clear, or should get updated.

Anonymous, 25 Jan 2018Sadly i fear it will more so be i aperture. And maybe those... moreNo doubt its the Aperture. Then finally smartphone (this thin) could control the Exposure Triangle (ISO, Shutter speed, Aperture) just like a REAL camera. Still bad it can only do 2 apertures, but its a good start for sure.

jtrogr, 25 Jan 2018The are turning into apple.
Change something on the inside... moreThat's all phones you fanboy.
What phone radically changed the design every single year? That's just ridiculous to ever attempt. Not eve a reason for that.
The only thing like apple they are going is making big spec differences between the regular size. .aka the actual and original galaxy and the plus.
That's just wrong. Smaller screen and therefor battery are supoosed to be the only differences. But now cameras and ram too? Regular S better be more like $200 cheaper

Change something on the inside, leave the design similar and take as much money as possible. But Apple phones you can atleast sell for much afterwards. Samsungs lose half of the price after 3 months.

Camera - the keyword that just made me extremely excited for the S9. Maybe a large sensor, finally? I skipped the S8 mostly due to a lack of camera innovation! If they really significantly upped the camera quality, I’ll be really excited!

Samsung finds itself in somewhat of a soup.
As mentioned and now as being observed by techies, the Exynos 9810 is in a COMPLETELY different league to the Snapdragon 845.
As a matter of fact, from Snapdragon 810 onwards, Samsung has had to compromise on speeds in image and video processing (among other things) to ensure that the Exynos and Snapdragon version have very similar performance. It would not be unfair to say, that Snapdragon's development especially in terms of Photo and Video processing has remained very slow, and which has, arguably slowed down Computational Photography Considerably (we could have seen the l16 Camera with a Much Better Image processor). The single core processor speeds have Doubled on the Exynos 9810 from the 8890, but there appears to very marginal single core improvements on Snapdragon. The Exynos 8890 was Already clocking 4k @ 120fps, but due to the super slow Snapdragon, the 4k was limited to 30p.
Samsung needs to open up its APIs on the level of Google and create a Fund for Samsung Exclusive Apps on the Play store.
Also, it needs to make sure that they make 2 COMPLETELY different variants, based on SoCs. The Exynos can do Double the Video Processing of the Snapdragon, and Samsung should let it utilize its full horsepower. Also 10-bit in LOG (HLG) could be a Paid Update, Specifically for Filmmakers and photo professionals.
Samsung needs to get rid of the Snapdragon baggage. It can leave the Snapdragon for the United States, till such time as courts there are being fed on predatory IP and Licensing issues, where Snapdragon is creating monopolies.
We need an Exynos S9 that does a Lot More than its Snapdragon variant.

So people expect samsung to come up with a new design for its flaship every year but apparently they are ok with a 4 year old design when it comes to iPhones. Smfh
