I love these gsmarena comments. How about you know, spend less time being addicted your phone and enjoy the moment or doing something productive isntead of wasting hours of your day and using all your SOT staring on a measly screen...

Anonymous, 28 Jan 2018Try Huawei Mate series. The newest ones are pretty powerful... morewith a fairly compact size. I know. the device I got right now. (note 8) is the COMPLETE opposite of my preferences. I am waiting for the S9. actually. I've heard that despite it keeps the measly 3k mAh battery. it keeps an impressive 92h of endurance. or so.

Kangal, 28 Jan 20183rth comment 1st answer: its the Endurance Rating based on... moreIt's true that we switched from 50% brightness to a fixed 200nits. However, before doing so we looked at the data and found that the average (mean and median) brightness of all phones we had tested up to that point is almost exactly 200nits. This I think works quite well when looking at average battery life.

For me honestly battery endurance means "Screen on time" only. Most of the people now a days using mobile for social media, internet surfing & games.... the bad part is every company is trying to made their mobiles as much thin as they can. But they should think about the battery too. Which is really matters.

My Last 2 Android devices, Samsung s3 and note 2 both had removable batteries which I put in an extended 3rd party type. The s3 went from a poor 1 day to 3 days heavy usage and when I went with the note 2 I went a massive 9300mAh zero lemon battery and got 5 days usage with heavy use.
My n8 now gets me by day to day but the nokn removable battery is a problem with me.
I have seen the zero lemon power cases but yeh we will see.
I would prefer companies stop sugar coating the handsets with fast chargers so they can use a smaller battery and get away with it because of the claim it can be charged in seconds and last you another 5 seconds.
I don't have the luxury of being behind a desk all the time.

15ed comment :
i like to use longer battery mobile phones. my nokia e63 gave me 2 days power in one full charge. Now my redmi note 4 gives me 1 and half day until 20 percent. i also used sony xperia z for 1 month which gave me half day in one full charge. terrible capacity. i played games a lot on all.

I do wish that we could enjoy BOTH an impressive preformance. (for a girl like me. MORE POWER=THE BETTER! is my motto) and an excellent Endurance and not compromise on either of them.
P.S. 10th comment! haha~

9rd comment haha.
My Sony Ericsson T630 fired up years (!) after being stored away, same with my Nokia E61i, I know they aren't "smartphones" but the standby time exceeds anything made today.
Sony Ericsson used Lithium Polymer batteries and somehow they lasted forever.
And just to cap it off, my Samsung Note 4 at least had the ability to pop in a freshly charged battery any time. Now we're stuck with whatever manufacturers decide is enough.

endurance is so heavily relied on the firmware. I have a Samsung A9 Pro, the 5000mah can last 1 day only with stock Samsung rom, after a year I replaced the battery and installed a clean rom, the phone can last for 4 days or 15 days standby.
