Kiyasuriin, 29 Jan 2018I perfectly respect your decision. Mojo jojo. but you are a... morei dont -really- need sd card, i wish i have it in my phone of course, currently have 64gb iPhone and i feel it's enough for me, i didnt before always full, but after ios11 and they change the file system and suddenly i have more than enough space. FYI: previously a Samsung Note 1 with sd card, so i'm not a fanboy of any brand, was using macbook and now using microsoft surface as a laptop. and now using both of the old iphone 6+ and google pixel 2. it's just the iphone 6 + always felt not at home due to size.

AnonD-493814, 30 Jan 2018Let's hope not - that looks awful compared to the S8. In fa... moreI agree, and I also hope it will look different than this. Because if this will be it's real look . then the S8 has better design... I planned to skip buying phone in 2018 anyways. I'll see what's gonna come next.

Ichimaru, 30 Jan 2018This is real. Just deal with it. I'm gonna cry a river.Well, I won't cry. But I won't be buying it either. Best to skip 2018 and wait for the S10, I guess.
Still a lot of new handsets to come from HTC, LG, Sony and Google throughout the year. One of them has to shine.

Let's hope not - that looks awful compared to the S8. In fact, this looks a lot like the HTC OneX I owned 5 or 6 years ago.

p.s. Yes. if you know how to tweak and code... you can purchase a motherboard from Qualcomm and experiment for your devices. ranges for prices are insanely wide. from 5$ (200, 202) to 60-62 (835, 845) be wise when buying a motherboard and plan ahead.
ask yourself if your chip meets the demands of the device you'd like to build. and even loudly ask yourself. "Do I really need such power? maybe I can tweak it to be more power consious?" Unless you're making a PDA.... I don't recommend on taking any of the 600 series.. (except 600 and 615. which is the maximum a device that doesn't have a full and interactive OS may request) code your device to utilize the resources the chipset you've bought can offer. and don't just go "[profanity]! I will just buy the 845 and that's it" 2 reasons why:
does the device you build REALLY NEEDS all that power? a misbuilt device can go bananas if you don't fit the hardware to software. and heat up.
and second: remember that thing has to be powered by a battery. too much power simply kills the battery. and all your effort for creating a good experience with your DIY device may go to the trash bin.
in the bottom line. if you decide to go DIY on an electronic device: KNOW what are you doing.

Anonymous, 28 Jan 2018You’re already using the new snapdragon ? How ? I thought i... moreif you're buying a batch. it's samsung's only. but if you are buying ONE for personal usage. you can grab one for 62$. send a mail to Qualcomm. explain to them why do you need a chip. and everything is cool.
P.S. do remember. that if you're buying the 845. you're getting a bare motherboard. you'll have to build around the device wanted. so you're the OEM of yourself. you'll have to tweak and code everything. I myself am used to do it. but I don't recommend on doing if you don't know what you're doing.

Mree, 29 Jan 2018Samsung fans are funny. When S8 came out, they're all about... moreI don't mind using any brand. first off. (and I am talking about myself solely. )
I am all in for the S8 (and later note 8) because it offered exactly what I needed. (fook the aspect ratio. I don't mind that) Large screen (in theory atleast) in a very compact body. even though the 16:9 size was not that large.
that's why people are so into the S9 and S8.

AnonD-218710, 29 Jan 2018How many customers who already have S8+ Will even think of ... moreI am considering to buy the S9. I have the note 8. and except the massive size. (just wanted to experiment WHY THE $&@! Many people love phablets, no need to answer. I know it.) this phone is a heaven. but way too large for me. I am willing to resell the note 8. (perfect condition btw.) and grab muah-self the S9. because I miss the middle size. ;w;

variable aperture from f2.4 to f1.5 and a... moreI do hope it's fully selectable as in selecting also the middle options like f/2.3 and f/1.9 etc...
That would be seriously cool.

mojojojo, 29 Jan 20182 more GB of ram and one more camera is a lot of difference... moreI perfectly respect your decision. Mojo jojo. but you are aware it's the PLUS version That gets the +2 GB of ram, and dual camera we're talking about right? which is the PHABLET-Y version gets the 6/64 as base. (6.2 in 18.5:9 to be exact. or 5.6 in 16:9) while the small (5.8/18.5:9 or 5.2/16:9) is 4/64
I understand from your purchase you've got the Pixel 2. which is 5incher. you could spend a little bit more for a beasty phone THAT FRIGGING SUPPORTS SD card.
