31 January 2018
The camera/fingerprint reader assembly on the back is a major change, everything else is more or less the same.

S6, S7, S8, S9, all the same

Well, it seems (at least from the current rumors) that unfortunately it won't be really convincing to upgrade from the S8+ & even more from the Note 8 (obviously for the general working person, NOT for the wealthy, those can buy it anyway). So let's hope that the real deal will be "a bit better" (at least) than what the rumours are saying...

AnonD-696542, 31 Jan 2018I'll always prefer a slim and light phone over a heavy thic... moreI also use the S8 and I can tell you one thing, if my phone was bit thicker and wider as the S9 is - it would be even harder for me to navigate with just 1 hand.

The S9 being thicker means there's more good stuff inside, but being shorter and wider is unusual, but I assume it'll be better for watching videos then. But because of the pics, I'm scared the S9 will have side bezels unlike S8, even though it probably won't, but pics are definitley weird.

Thinner phone = lower SOT = less battery capacity. U all had it coming. Probably easier to bend too.

Many people fail to comprehend that S9 is thicker than the previous model. Must be some good stuff inside!

I agree width, readable writable area is 0.4mm bigger as on V30, shih is better and longish look is broken, It must be more to 1mm. Rest no use to change front 8 to 9 foolish!

Hey look, another rectangular slab just like the others, which does the exact same things the old ones have been doing already. Only faster and shinier and 3D-ier.

                        Seems innovative enough, I guess.

Many will put this phone in a thick fugly transformer style case anyway.

One of the reasons you drop your phones is lack of grip and slim design is one of the slipping factors.

Can't wait for durability test and see if S9 can break in half with that reduced thickness.

I want bigger batteries and much better cameras, cause I want to use my smartphone as a smartphone. For people like you they could create ultra thin phones only with display, no camera and even smaller batteries.

I wouldn't mind haveing a thicker phone that has bigger battery, maybe better thermals(more space for a heatpipe) and a headphone jack

They clearly dont know how to make improvements. Only thing they adjust as always will be price.
