Mikey, 01 Feb 2018The S8 Active does have bezels. By nature it has to! ... moreEven the S8/S8 Plus and Note 8 have some bezels, point is, it's freaking too much for a 2018 device at such price. Should at least come with a 70%+ screen to body ratio like devices have been since 2014 given the price tag.

For a second, I thought it was the no brand chinese manufacturer making that Discovery Land Rover phone. Never heard of it? It has the Discovery channel logo and the old Land Rover logo on the back. It's kind of bizarre as it's a low end, but rugged device. I'd want that manufacturer to make one with a 5 inch screen and Snapdragon 425 to 430 equivalent, and I'd be sold.

As for this Bullitt Group Land Rover phone, I'd want them to be successful also, along with their CAT phones as they do fantastic niche marketing. Also I like the Energizer phone line.

Unfortunately they both have lost site of what a Land Rover is SUPPOSED to be. Go anywhere 4x4's not luxury suites on wheels. Watching Jeep go this route too is sad.

Sadly the reason or this eludes the folks who dwell in cubicles and spend every weekend on the couch. I dragged an S7 Edge around for a year, on all the excursions into the great wide open. an absolute NIGHTMARE. IP rated, rugged case and all I was still terrified of something happening to all that glass. The S4, S5 and S6 actives I beat on were never a concern (outside of the idiotic flaps on the 4 and 5). Heck the S6 fell down the side of a rocky hill and spent almost an hour in 6 feet of water before I tracked it down... and it stayed as my faithful sidekick for another 8 months! Try that with a bezel-less phone.

Plus. Low specs for AR mapping? you're kidding? it'll most likely have s6xx or s8xx! with dececnt RAM amount.

Not THAT expensive. a clean board of snapdragon 835 costs about 59.39$ so assuming the price is about 700 in dollars (I remind. ASSUMING!) rugged chassis (with MIL-STD or IPXX rates) would be about 160$, and all the goodies and screen can be like 280$. add to that the marketing fees and it's quite plausible to sell it with 835 at 710$ or so.

Such humongous bezels for a €650 phone in 2018...I predict the specs will also be underwhelming.

Looks interesting but will be ruined by an outdated subpar SoC. Even if you like hiking, you may also want to play games or ruin your life on social media. SD660 at that price sounds approriate (SD835 might be too expensive). I could settle for SD636, but anything below SD63x and SD65x is simply ridiculous at that price.
