LG superfan, 02 Feb 2018You mean limeage and cyanogen are different? I thought cyan... moreYes, they are different. For starters you are referring to Cyanogenmod, which is the OpenSource ROM that started this all. Cyanogen was the commercial version of this ROM, and is now dead. Cyanogenmod was also lead by Steve Kondik, which abandoned the project. LineageOS is the successor to Cyanogenmod, it took the same code base and most people that were developing for Cyanogenmod also stuck with Lineage... but now it's a different "show", that's the power of OpenSource -- when something dies you can just clone all previous work and keep things going.

Sad news for Sony fans, even they mid range and low end phones sucked badly, it will be even worse, so better to drop all of them and just produce highends, I don't think so anyone will buy their low end garbage now

I've been using LG, Sony and Samsung now tried S7e and I regret buying it. As to my experience, LG especially Samsung are laggy as months pass by sometimes not responding and stattering even though they have larger ram and latest processor. Let's admit it and no offense but Sony are way near stock android inspite of older cpu and less ram. Samsung used alot of application that are not useful.

[deleted post]These apps are very useful for some persons why you don't use it, it is very useful and even better than third party apps and most of it can be uninstall if you don't use and some of the apps are from the Google pre-install for basic android usage that you can found on every android smartphone. Do you know Sony has removed the TrackID because of these trolls trolling, if you don't use these apps please UNINSTALL or disable it. If I don't like Iris scanner how can I uninstall this feature please?!

I was mentioning about those flagship devices such as Z3, Z5, X Performance, XZ and XZS so on? These are the overpriced flagships that launched by Sony previously. None of 'em were properly treated well except timely security patches for X Performance and XZ(s). Same bored old UI, old camera interface, no new wallpaper and worse still not even a simple new clock widget. Apparently it was nothing new at all except New Android Version, New Patch Level, New Kernel and Build No. Rest of those newly built gimmicks I should give a credit to Google instead.

[deleted post]Thats not bloatwares because those apps are actually usefull some of the apps can easly be dissabled/uninstalled and you know what even with all those apps Sony smartphones still perform faster and far more reliable (less crash) than samsung smartphones.

Not even a sim... moreAlthough if those updates doesn't came out new things and just maybe fixed or whatsoever in it , Xperia Home update which can be installed on APKMirror on 2016 and older Xperia and Google Play on 2017 and newer one , could bring at least a new features on it , although it doesn't much compared to Samsung Experience or MIUI . Here's proof what the latest features on Xperia Home 11.2.A.0.3 : https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/sony-mobile-communications/xperia-home/xperia-home-11-2-a-0-3-release/

I know . I know . I got your point Sony sometimes doesn't bring new features on their Xperia updates , but stating with people bringing a update to support the devices is a must has been a jargon and staple since iOS introductions , well that's some ways to be supported during its lifetime spans . But remember , there's some worse company that doesn't bring any new features to their phone at all that i couldn't name it one by one . I ain't expert , but i do follow some news timely that could sometimes a final or phase conclusions . And iOS ain't better as well . While it supports its devices 3-5 years prior to the release date , but , typical iOS update , it fixed some bugs while breaks other as well .

Here's the following one that i could found and still working till these days even they're no longer pre-installed :

                                        Sketch Apps
                                        PartyShare

                                        What's New
Xperia Actions , Assists and Introduction to Xperia
                                        Album
News (used to be named : Socialife)
Walkman (no longer preinstalled in 5.0 but APK is still available)
                                        Weather
                                        Stamina Mode V2.0
                                        Supports (Xperia Edition)
Notes (no longer preinstalled in 5.0 , but APK is still available)
Messaging (Xperia Edition) [last preinstalled in Xperia L1]
Xperia Keyboard (same as Notes and Walkman)
                                        Email (Xperia Edition)
Small Apps (no longer preinstalled in Xperia X 2016 and after / 2nd generation)
                                        Voice Control (Xperia Touch Only)
                                        etc.

Those mostly based on Google-preinstalled applications , with some of them are not visible by their own but with Sony powered-on it . Remember i possibly wrong , but those are Sony-made apps that i can found differ from Google stock apps its own
