Not impressed. The new version of Oreo uses more battery. And the display of the time on the main screen with the hours ABOVE the minutes is the stupidest thing ever displayed on a computing device.

Always makes me laugh when phone owners from OTHER manufacturers make the effort to comment on Samsung forums, trying to knock anything, be it the brand, it's latest phones, software update rollouts, anything, you'd think it'd just be Apple but no.
Competition is a good thing.
Regarding the Samsung 9. Oreo update, as I understand it:
S9's come with it already.
S8's now have it.
S7's rolling out now.
S6's getting it after the S7 rollout.
So I've had 6. Lollipop, 7. Marshmallow, I'm on 8. Nougat & soon getting 9. Oreo (it doesn't bother me that it's late, as long as we get it in it's usual smooth bug free beta tested state).
+ we get monthly security fixes.
Looks pretty good to me, I don't know what you got on your Sony's, etc?
Regarding the 1st comment:

Not sure what your talking about, on Samsung broser, I just press the 3 vertical dots in the top right hand corner to get a menu, select 'Turn on Night mode', job done.

If this is confirmed, the same thing happens with TouchWiz in versions 2.2, 4.1, 4.3 and 7.1 of Android: it will remain basically the same, with few relevant additions to features, and no update in the design (not even the icons, which it's rare)
That is, anyone who is using Samsung Experience 8.0, 8.1 or 8.5 will not miss Samsung Experience 9.0 very much if their device stays on Android Nougat.
Maybe even those who have a Galaxy Note 7 or Galaxy J2 Prime on TouchWiz Grace UX (7.0) are not missing out on much, even while still staying on Android Marshmallow.

Bixby is devil incarnate, the best thing Samsung did, was to give us the option to disactivate it's button! And their keyboard is horrible, they had me install gkeyboard instead, mostly because they don't support slide without auto correction, do not support 160 characters In my language, for sms and are limited in only 70 and finally because they hate black themes for a reason... And since they didn't fix that, the changes are completely irrelevant!
