valek, 29 Jul 2011any iphone boy like to comment on the fact? move over &... morelook the manufacters marketshare and you see who really is winning. Android is not one phone brand. Who cares how much cheap android phones is out there? Android has big marketshare because of those cheap android devices, i'm sure about that. Where i live zte blade is selling very good, it has been top 3 most selled phone every month. Outselled every other android phones everytime, iPhone 4 has been only phone which sell more almost every month.

And you are right chance is coming, iPhone 5 is around the corner ;)

akuler, 29 Jul 2011haha..symbian dead, long live android ;DHow come so many retards posting symbian is dead ?

this article only writes about "smart phones" but not "mobile phones"

if we consider entire phones (including smartphones) symbian is still the number one OS .

      i think maybe 40% is smartphone market , remaining 60% is non-smartphone market .

I love all OS still , android and iOS still don't have some basic features of Symbian (a lot missing and iOS bull**** especially) .

i use galaxy s2 and my bro uses iphone 4 honestly i liked user experience of iphone due to simple operation and smoothness but hardware too bad for iPhone no SD slot or removable battery and every android ultility app warns before installing that it can access personal data and critical data from phone . simply iphone has more privacy atleast they lock out services used by apps but i don't have much valuable information on my phone , android is dam good for me , but for business both OS bad , iOS has better enterprise support and privacy but hardware simply bad.

pik, 29 Jul 2011the statistics don't show the device return ratio. accordin... moreIs that for the US or worldwide. Mind you, the iPhone 4 had a solid construction, but too brittle for a fall. I wouldn't be surprised if the return ratio is much higher for worldwide.

To all the Symbian haters here, did you know that there are more Symbian users than people who drink coke? Or use Levi jeans? Did you know that there are 255 million Symbian users worldwide. I repeat, worldwide, not just the US, worlwide. It seems like the media really did brainwashed you guys. Moving to the topic, why isn't LG listed? It's one of the top Android players there. Not to mention they're the first one who had the dual-core smartphone.

the statistics don't show the device return ratio. according to TechCrunch, for android it was 30-40% (hilarious, i'm not at all surprised), while for the iphone 4 (even during the antennagate) it was... 1.7%! i'm not fanboying here, i love my mozart (wp7) :)

AnonD-1188, 29 Jul 2011US is not world but it's nice too see this.Yes, i agree..US statistic is absolutely far from the real truth for worldwide market shares. US people as usual will only use or buy their own brand of Operating Systems n products such as iOS, RIM and Android. But worldwide, Symbian still has its bigger share. But of cause, Android now r on their way to conquer the worldwide market as well.
