03 February 2018
Competition from local brands has turned out too much for the Korean company's mobile division.

Slow sale pretty much can be blame on them, well with slow product distribution, pretty much bad supply chain, not to mention, hard to find one in local store or 3rd party retailer, lack of marketing making it worse bacause not everybody know lg make a phone, even the one that know doesn't bother with the hassle of actually buying one(i mean finding one in store or online retailer)

Their V20 (my current phone) is their best one because at least it has a removable battery. All they needed to do is continue that along with supplying different versions of their flagships (like a G7, G7+, and G7 Lite for those short on money) along with darn-near stock android with good specs. LG is a good phone company but the likes of Xiaomi, Oppo, and Huawei kill it.

They must improve their quality check. After almost 4 generations of bootloops nobody trusts LG anymore. Their flagships are quite beautiful but laggy and with problems in time. I've got an G3 and started with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth problems and now is dead. It doesn't recognise the SIM and the screen is flickering. On the other hand, I still have and galaxy S1 and is still working, but with an outdated OS

LG need much better marketing, better price for low-end and middle class, and High-end, more advertisement, etc.

I won’t be surprised if Lg begins to pull out of a lot of markets in the mobile space, and the guy that is taking over Sony is well known for cutting products and divisions which don’t pull their own weight. As a matter of fact, he’s the guy who originally gutted Sony’s mobile division due to lack of profits, and there is strong speculation that he may go even further now. I would hate to see either or both of these makers exit the mobile space, leaving users with that much less choice and competition.

AnonD-732843, 03 Feb 2018They can still come back up if they listen to the people! ... moreGeeks ask for stock android. Not regular costumer.

But I think simple phones should pack stock( like K4, K8) , easier to run.

                            I have a doubt..

The chinese brands have one UI for chinese units and an internation version..

Does it apply to foreing brands too?

Wrong moce, reduce the price and offer fast and longer software updates with lighter customization, no need to change icons etc from stock android just add usefull features

LG's flagships should of been no more than $500. That would of saved them the embarrassment

if it came with stock android with a few tweaks like oxygen OS(oneplus), reduce the pricing LG could do a good comeback. LG has a laggy UI and a ugly one.
Here in portugal i know nobody who carries a LG G5/LG G6/V20/V30.
Most in here have samsung flagships, iphones and oneplus devices. Some even Nubia devices and OPPO

They should do the same here in India. I think their marketing department gets the salary without doing anything. Never saw any Q6, G6 or V30 in someone's hand. Not even electronics store. They are just good in home appliance. Smartphone is not their thing. And laptops too.

Pure Android with a optional light LG theme + bigger batteries is a start!
