Huawei P20 Lite with a notched 19:9 screen goes through the FCC

07 February 2018
The FCC was surprisingly detailed, it even included a schematic of the phone in its report.

17:9 or a little taller is fine, but this trend is just getting stupid. You can never use the phone comfortably one handed.

Different screen ratio actually had been used many times ago.
The regular version was still 16:9, but there were also phones with 3:2 (iphone 4s), 16:10 (Lumia), 4:3 (Lg Vu). The difference from all of that phones is that they are wider rather than taller.

What's the deal with all these skinny elongated phones??? Now getting even skinnier n
                        longer with 19:9AR.
Why can't we just have options of the regular 16:9AR or even 17:9AR phones with skinny bezels and all the top 2018 specs??? I am perfectly content with those two aspect ratios.
At this point with the way the elongated 18:9AR trend is going..we might end up with long tube-like phones...insane.
                        So what's next ...10:9, 11:9, 12:9???????

systemic, 07 Feb 2018And 1000$ price tag$1000 for lite model?

Celluloid, 07 Feb 2018Nah, S8 is same height but wider.S8 is 18.5:9, this one is 19:9 -- it will have better screen-to-body ratio.

sohail shafayat, 07 Feb 201816:9 is better always. Phones are becoming narrower day by ... moreDepends on overall dimensions. If the phone is same size tall and wide, but one is 19.5:9 (or 19:9, 18.5:9, 18:9, 17:9) and the other 16:9, the screen will have the same width, but more display area on top and bottom.

16:9 is better always. Phones are becoming narrower day by day. Yes, getting narrower and taller but not larger. Rather you are getting less display area.
