S8 and S7 are the same! Also you can see higher res means nothing. The S6 looks blurry with 16MP, and the S7 is much better despite 12MP. And I know the S7/S8 have the same camera

For the people who wants to see whether Xperia phones are better or worse than other phones with comparision in the same scale (since here Xperia phones were zoomed more than others)

AnonD-238148, 18 Feb 2018I think gsmarena team should have downscale all of pictures... moreFor a quick snap (which what majority of pictures were taken with a smartphone), look no further than the iPhone X/8, Samsung S8/Note 8, and the king of stills - Pixel 2/2 XL. No photo editing necessary to get the perfect shot.
It's amazing how far mobile photography has gotten with these three manufacturers.

I think gsmarena team should have downscale all of pictures to a specific resolution. People can't understand these differences which have been caused by the scale of the photo. I get what was the purpose of your post but if you have downscaled them you could have said what you were trying to say. See how people start to compare brands without even checking photo qualitiea by your tool. I always check your tool cause that is the only trusted tool left in mobile company. And ofcourse in fight vs brands I'll go with pixel and sony as a photographer. Sony is behind in photo effects from other brands but I think their photoquality is amazing if you know how to use photo editing apps.

I know it's a bit cliché to rank the most popular phones on the planet at the top. But, it is what it is. You definitely can't go wrong with any of the listed smartphone above as your main camera.

Why didn't you throw in the Nokia 808 to show how much the current flagships still lags behind it.. Dxo retested the 808 why not you gsma as the premier mobile phone website.. Please retest the 808 using the current standard procedure.. I guarantee you it will blow all the competitions away

I have compared all flagships from 2017.
XZ1/XZ1c win in 2 of 3 scenes.
The ISO and Good Light.
Only Note 8 comes close. The 3rd is U11.
The samples of Pixel 2, Mate 10 Pro, S8 and iX dont come even closer.
The sample of XA2 and U11 Life beat iX.
