Anonymous, 08 Feb 2018One is still ahead in terms of features and the other is ah... morestill, you can compare for what you want or need. if you value the time to open apps, or the time it takes unlock, or to open your favorite app, or to take a picture..those things you can compare, because its things you can do in both universes...you can't compare the time you change the layout of your device..or the icons...because simply, you can't do it with iphone.
i've both, android and ios devices, and right now android for me is 100x better than iphone in all aspects.
google integration with the OS is flawless, much less work to do anything. the freedom of android, simple things like copying music, movies, files or apps is much easier to do in android. produtivity i get way better results on android devices. ofc, if you ask my father that don't have a clue what i'm talking he loves more my ipad to play cards and majong than my nexus 7. easy to memorize what to do...1 button helps....ios is changing...and not for the better...more complex movements...more learning curve..and if you need to learn something..at least go for android it will much better in the long run. having same icons in 10 years (with small differences) doing the same thing all over again...after millions of taps...ios is kinda boring...at least...

Fulljack, 08 Feb 2018before you guys comparing it to iPhone's Geekbench scores, ... moreWhile its true that all those things will matter for sure (to who's advantage no one can tell for sure) Geekbench is as good as it gets when comparing SoC. No matter what OS its the same workload being executed.

People that are saying "Oh iPhones just are faster because iOS does not required as much hardware" simply do not know what they are talking about. Apple is without a doubt the leader when it comes to ARM CPUs today, they have massive CPU cores compare to the competition that are really good at crunching numbers thats a fact. Its expensive and harder to design big cores for mobile devices especially but they have the resources and knowledge.

Gary over at Android Authority puts it well:
          https://www.androidauthority.com/why-are-apples-chips-faster-than-qualcomms-gary-explains-802738/

That said, a powerful CPU is just one thing of many when it comes to how fast the phone really is.

Fulljack, 08 Feb 2018before you guys comparing it to iPhone's Geekbench scores, ... moreActually the purpose of geekbench is this. To compare. It’s like comparing two cars on the same dynamometer. Different engines, different transmissions, different powertrains. In the end you get the horsepower and torque reading.
What magic apple is doing with the A chips is part of the optimisation of the chip. If u follow android authority as Gary said “apple uses more silicone”. Credit where credit’s due.
Android devices make up with more ram. So everything’s good.

Well this geekbenkch is just for geeks.
Its shows no real life experience.
Even a phone with very high score can preform very low in real life and othervise.

Fulljack, 08 Feb 2018before you guys comparing it to iPhone's Geekbench scores, ... morei'm not a fan in comparing 2 different platforms also, but actually you can compare both, depending on the test. if a test consists in rendering 100000 circles on the screen, calculating a PI number at 1000000 decimal, or opening apps and close them, multitasking apps, etc...if one is slower than the other.....the user doesn't care about platforms beeing diferent and can't be directly compared...but they can say that one device is faster than the other doing that tasks...if it's tasks that they use every day.....they can decide better with the comparison. sorry my english

                                  Xiaomi

before you guys comparing it to iPhone's Geekbench scores, I suggest you DON'T. You can't compare two different chipset that runs on two different OSes. it's like comparing Intel on Mac OS against AMD Ryzen on Ubuntu. different OS, different kernel, different compiler, different optimization, different scores, etc.
