:3, 12 Feb 2018how to be like you ? please tell meFirst off. you need to know Software Engineering for BSc scholarship grade. Search in your country the collages/unis (I've gone Uni) that teach it. be prepared to spend 3-4 years of studies. andeven then. make sure to score atleast 80% or higher (my avg is 84.8) once graduated. and you got the certifications, just apply to an app making company. and voila. you'll learn the coding of Snapdragon and Ax.
as for DIY and other stuff. that's just a passion. if you don't like DIY don't push yourself. the reason I am a master developer is because I am working for atleast 3 years. and my coding for snapdragon is the most beautiful. (not that I brag. I was always like that. ^^;)

Still don't understand how smaller company with less cash and revenue can buy larger company.
Hopefully this doesn't go through some that would mean we lose one of the biggest r&d spenders to a company notorious for cutting costs everywhere for short term gains.

AnonD-320535, 10 Feb 2018If you think so, ask your self where is texas instruments, ... moreRight...

The reason those companies are no more was because they dont let (what number do you like? 10%? i bet even less...) that a few guys root their devices. Just face it, the majority of the population just dont care nor even know, what SoCs have their phone, much less what SoCs offers their drivers to developers...

The reason of their failure was the monopoly that QC was creating for SoCs AND modems. They couldnt compete on price, performance or, in the case of Nvidia, power consumption.

Anonymous, 10 Feb 2018To Qualcomm! $500 billion or don't sellEh. I myself believe 300b is sufficient for their survival AND enough resources for developing MUCH better SoCs for the devices we so love. 500b imo is just greedy. (even 250b is enough imo.)

Anonymous, 09 Feb 2018That's heavily exaggeratedIf you think so, ask your self where is texas instruments, novathor, even nvidia Tegra soc-s now? They did poorly on supporting custom developers, and broadcoom is one of them.

PeterThePanda, 10 Feb 2018Qualcomm might end up in the same fate as Yahoo: Refusing a... moreI see no reason as of why Qualcomm should even sell their business. Their market share in mobile world, is higher they any other manufacturer. Windows 10 is comming on ARM, thus making their chips more and more desirable. I actually see no reason as of why qualcomm would even deal this. It generatd revenue without end. This arm chips are way more value then what broadcrapp brought to the Table.

Anonymous, 09 Feb 2018Yet apple gets away unscaved as usualbecausde apple pays ppl off...believe or not apple makes alot of revenue from the few customers they have,,,because they rob ppl..but hey profit is just another word for robbing ppl legally

Qualcomm might end up in the same fate as Yahoo: Refusing an already really good offer due to arrogance, crashing then being purchased for peanuts by another company in order to save themselves from bankruptcy.

These shares are traded on stock markets. If QC denies the offer Broadcom can directly offer to share holders. If they accept there is not much QC can do besides buying its own shares back.

But this deal won't happen. I don't see Broadcom getting permission from the EU or even us regulators.
