Qualcomm board of directors rejected the $82 per share, $121B offer for the company.

AnonD-674238, 09 Feb 2018you dont seem to understand qualcomm situation atmI do. and I am worried. my work is not RELIANT on qualcomm as the company I work for uploads the apps sent to us for all SOCs possible. (Ax, Snapdragon, Exynos, Mediatek [Shudders], Kirin, Pinecone, and lastly Broadcom [nearly pukes].) I am a major (high ranked) Developer that MASTERS the SNAPDRAGON coding. I do have the alternative of Exynos for development. but Qualcomm.... ALL ANDROID USERS know that company. and many love them for their openness. Please. do not die qualcomm...

I'd personally prefer this company to survive, and get stronger. it helps in my work. (I am a major ranked developer for Qualcomm Snapdragon, and standard ranked for A series chipsets of the fruit company. why? my work needs it like that. don't ask me why) I can swap to Exynos easily. as the compilers are fairly similar. but still I really want qualcomm to survive.

Broadcom is a company I pretty much dislike only because of the SoCs. but they develop other componetns that are neccessary for your computers. mainly communication and transmittion/recieving (WIFI modules, Bluethooth. so on) I want the mobile SoCs to die. but everything else will remain.

        Anonymous, 09 Feb 2018That's heavily exaggeratedNot exactly. I am a developer for Android, Mastering specifically Qualcomm's developing code. (And iOS because my work requires so. but let's put that aside, shall we?) People don't exaggarate when it comes to developing for BCM SoCs. their compilers are truely strict and the coding language that is used SPECIFICALLY for these Socs is difficult. With Qualcomm's compilers and the coding language that is free and easy, no wonder so many skins, files, apps, ROMS, everything thinkable about android is easily developable for Qualcomm's chipsets. In broadcomm only the minimum required is placed because it's 99% impossible to get roms, and skins for it. it's too smegging hard!

                    Please Qualcomm dont let them buy you. Its the only SOC maker that supports android development and support xda developers.
                    Broadcom would close all this and we would end up being forced on stock android.
