Nexus 5 man. I really love that phone.
Hope I can request Google to manufacture one Nexus 5 for me. Keep same 2013 specs, it doesn't matter.
Also, keep same UI of Android (same icons, same experience). Not the one we see in Pixels.

I can only remember by date my first phone and that was Motorola V.100, then I lost time, when I were using them.
Weird hobby though.

Nice reminder about the Wave, lovely looking feature phone and of course that SuperAMOLED display. Was almost buying it but decided to go for my first smartphone...the Galaxy S instead as both were released around the same time.
Actually it was GSMArena which persuaded me to go Samsung once I saw the difference between the iPhone's LCD and Samsung's new SuperAMOLED wonder screen side by side in a straight comparison in a darkened room. WOW moment for me and I've been Samsung ever since- S, S3, S4, S6Edge and currently S8.

My first Nokia was 7210, then E51, then e72, then e71, N9 (great user interface), Lumia 610 sold and bought a Lumia 720 (Best all rounder), Lumia 1020 (Great Camera).
I still have the e71 and a microsoft 950 which has a great camera but behind the 1020 in overall resolution.

Like you, I have had both E71 and N85 and I don't think we had free offline navigation from Nokia! I remember having only maps with GPS location.
At that time, I was eager to have offline navigation within US and EU, and on N85 I deployed Garmin XT software + maps. It was a bunch of $!

I now understand why Ivan in this old phones stories, he wanted stock.... He and most people were coming from Samsung and touchwiz!
Off course!!
Why majority want stock android?
Because they had bad experience with lags....
As for me, I didn't understand why you want stock... Large parts of my ignorance was because I'm always with HTC...
I always prefer sense UI than plain stock.
Why? Because it's more feature packs and yet my phone never lags!
And majority of people never own HTC flagship.
It makes sense now, the urge people have for stock.... I pity you and them.

What's the point of this article? Just a guy bragging how he has enough money to buy new high-end smartphone every few months. He didn't really write anything interesting about those phones, each of them got about one sentence. Oh, this one has big screen, bad speakers and good camera. I could see that if I just looked at the specs of that phone. And he mentions nostalgia, but most of those phones are only a few years old and not really nostalgia invoking. Hell, we even remember most of the things he mentioned about the phones in the article, since, as I said, they are only a few years old.
He really should have started with old phones, pre-2007, now that would have been nostalgic and interesting to see how the phones changed back then and his (short) opinion of those phones. But I guess they were not expensive enough and therefore not really bragging-worthy
