The maximum of brightness in my device is 372 nits. The life battery is average of 8-9h. I watch it easily under the sunlight although it is less than Sony or Samsung device. Hongkong version. So, i am very surprised with the result of GSMArena in both of reviews. At least, its battery time is also equivalent to u11. Never have such low battery life. Please go to forums with crowded u11 + users to verify this.

I've been using the u11+ for couple months. battery life is indeed poor, I'm a light user and it barely lasted a day. until I disabled some of google system apps, including play from running background data and processes. now I'm getting 3 day use with the phone.

Similar request for Mate 10 pro - if Huawei gets 100%, how HTC would compare? I'm personally interested especially in camera comparison, Mate 10 pro overall gets good scores (especially raws), but some users are very disappointed in processing to jpg.

I bought this phone from Technopolis (Bulgaria)
And I saw a dark area at the bottom of the screen.
It looks pretty bad for such a expensive device
on the picture is also visible.

I can not accept that it is normal

Zeus, 12 Feb 2018I get 8hrs SOT every time, so still don't understand these ... moreOur battery test has two SOT tests - web and video. The U11+ scored 8+ hours on both, so it appears you are actually getting the same results.

If S7edge got 100 score. What is U11+ score?

Anonymous, 12 Feb 2018 Fast wireless charging for please.Any wireless charging please! Easy to see why Samsung lead the pack. They manage that, even when they don't have the top camera, albeit a very good camera. Let's be honest, you stick the Pixel 2 camera in any device, you should have a winning phone. If the Lg v30 had it, and a decent screen, phone of the year!

So, the screen earns mediocre legibility score but subjectively it is usable under sunlight? The battery posted mediocre results (for its size 3930 mAh) but day to day usage is subjectively good?

Based on these alone, the original U11 with Oreo update, being cheaper should be the better value.
However there's a couple of differences between the two, such as fingerprint sensor location and display aspect ratio, that potential customers can consider upon.

Something is up with the screen and battery results, other websites get much better results.

I have HTC U11+. I have no issues with screen quality. The display is not as bad as the numbers may suggest. The brightness is good enough for daily usage that I don't have anything to complain. Previously I owned S7 edge which had a gorgeous amoled display and I don't even miss it after switching.I get good display quality similar to what I get from my Samsung set to auto brightness mode. The screen is totally fine. The battery standby is also great. I can easily get through a day even with heavy usage. The audio output through both speakers and in-box headphone is one of the best in class at the moment. The phone has a good weight to it and feels solid n premium in hand.

U11+ needs a brighter screen. HTC 10 even had a better screen and the original U11. HTC also needs to bring back the jack and some durability to this phone.

PRIPO, 12 Feb 2018Poor battery life cause of this JDI screenJDI also makes Xperia screen.
XZ1 has almost 3800 sunlight contrast ratio.
                                  138% sRGB.

                                  No excuse..

                                    But brightness is too weak.
                                    500 nits would be good.

peachy001, 12 Feb 2018All I need them to do is stick an amoled panel in, 1080p or... moreyou never seen an LCD panel from htc right? they are the best in class. they can't provide amoled because the price of the device would be much higher than already is. i'm pretty happy with my lcd..dont have the problems that all amoled have.
