come on: it's just a case of misunderstanding, it's clearly written by a non-native english speaker, it doesn't ask for a review, but for people to say why they would want the phone. obvs putting it in the "review" section was a stupid mistake that was bound to be misinterpreted.

C'mon soliciting fake reviews is nothing new. It's everywhere eg. on Amazon, eBay, BHphoto, newegg, AliExpress, etc etc etc. Why target Huawei? Is it becos' they are selling non-contract phones in US with Trump accusing them for spying?

So they have time to do stuff like that but they can't fix major bugs in the Mate 10 Pro?
There are a lot of bluetooth bugs and their AI is messing with the microphone during calls, which makes it impossible to use this as a phone.

So, bestbuy is okay with people writing reviews for a phones that being only on pre-order? And then everyone bitching about the phone company but no one give a damn about bestbuy?
For god's sake, have you people ever check B&H phone video, the same phone already got a 1 star review in their page days( or even a week) ago. But you don't see people bring that up and take about it!

In the law these are considered scams against the customer (so you, not the fake reviewers) This is why it is shocking.

Xiaomi has been doing this in india from the start for positive reviews on their own selling site to win coupons or chance to win phones. Apparently when you do it in US it catches more attention.
