14 February 2018
It only got started less than a week ago, and only managed to reach a few markets.

I hate the S8. I miss my S6. Topic comes up alot when I'm rideshare driving and more often than not others agree. Update, no update, it's still an 8

This is exclusively for S8/S8+ users only that accidentally stop the update, if you are using the S8 or S8+, sorry..... Other Galaxy devices will get the update by on April, however, the Galaxy Note8 would get it first

Anonymous, 15 Feb 2018Come on, which feature of Oreo do you desperately need? I g... moreOreo has a better battery management, the new notifications feature is a must have.
Easier to control the notifications for each app and the awesome picture in picture which i use daily.
On my oneplus 5T i can say the oreo update improved my battery life 5-10%
So yeah, even tho the updates are just slight, the improved battery endurance is mostly welcomed.
I'll be honest, i love bragging about my oreo update to my friends S8+ and just how snappier my device is overall.

Maybe it's time for Google to release new version later, for example 2 or 3 years, not every year, if many OEMs are experiencing many problems with Oreo updates. It will also diminish OS version fragmentation.

Samsung really needs to get their software sorted, it's the only thing keeping the other Android competition alive. More so now Google is around selling hardware.

I can wait a little longer. It's not like there are any major changes with oreo, a few new features to tinker with for 30 minutes and then it's business as usual. But i would like to try my BT headphones with LDAC sometime soon..

Yeah. How dare they make sure it works

Usually they late but provides bug free and stellar updates, now even Samsung messed it up, what is wrong with Oreo, every major brand which released Oreo had to hold it and patch it at some point, does not look very promising for Google or any other oem

"Following a limited number of cases where Galaxy S8 and S8+ devices have rebooted unexpectedly with the Android 8.0 Oreo, we have temporarily stopped the rollout of the update. We are investigating the issue internally to ensure that the impact to the affected devices is minimized and the rollout of the update can resume as quickly as possible"

Come on, which feature of Oreo do you desperately need? I guess none, so we'll wait a bit longer on Nougat, who cares! my phone works like day 1, while the battery is amazing and the camera is great, what more do I need? People are getting upset over absolutely nothing, their phone can handle anything they throw at it, enough I guess, oreo doesn't add to your RAM or cpu, get a life people!
